Izdaari, good that you say ‘never say never’.

Because none of us knows where God will lead us.

I am amazed that I am Catholic. Who knew? Guess God did. 😃

It was a long journey -as a Physician who has practiced for decades the teachings on birth control ]finally caused me to leave the Church-I could have stayed and said nothing like I think many Catholics do but I really just had to be honest about it-Other issues pushed me along but were in themselves not definitive causes.

I had 16 years of Catholic education-we raised our Children in the Catholic Church and deep down I feel sick about it-also the intellectual quality of the mainline Parish Priests to me was not equal to other denominations leaders.

I feel bad when the never ending scandal hits the papers - I guess I see myself as a Cathoic in exile-The Episcopal Church is welcoming and is a very large tent-They certainly have Apostolic Succession ( I know all about the Papal pronouncment on this)

I blame no one - I smile when I think about the Roman Church-it just does not have a space for me

So you converted to have sex, drink and slack off?
Um, what? I don’t think you understood my post. I said I converted to Catholicism, but it was hard for me to accept the fact that birth control was a sin, and also purgatory and the immaculate conception because of my protestant background.

You mean as a Catholic you NEVER knew Jesus?:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I have heard this story replayed from so many “converts” i.e. people who leave the church over the years that it bores me.

You have come here full of “Holy Ghost power and fire” to save us all. Don’t bother. Jesus already has done that but hey, best of luck.

Signed,

FORMER Pentecostal, now member of God’s one holy, true, catholic and apostolic church through the water and the spirit Sunday April 1, 1990 A.D./ Confirmed April 3, 1999 A.D. -Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ!
And bcz it’s the oldest it has a lot of bad history, world is flat, science Is not real, kill him before he takes over my catholic kingdom!, indulgences can save you! Jesus is not the only solution, we are at the center not the sun. Do Pentecostals say that they save or that Jesus saves, that they heal or Jesus heals through them???

Oh, one of these guys.
First of all, the Church never taught the earth was flat or that we were the center of the universe. It couldn’t have, even if it wanted to because that has nothing to do with our faith. Not everything the Pope says is infallable. I don’t know what you’re talking about with the cathoic kingdom thing. And are you aware of what an indulgence is? Jesus is not the only solution? Um, where did you hear the Church taught that?

I just never realy felt anything in catholicism, it felt like alot of the aspects of Christianity were man made.
Ironically, when I studied Wicca for a short time (while I was an atheist) what struck me is how the whole thing is entirely made up.

Ok you have a lot of misinformation here. the church never taught the world was flat, the Church was the only place learning and science could be found for centuries in Europe and without it no tell how long much longer the dark ages would have lasted. and the you need to stop reading what protestant teach about indulgences and read what the Church teaches about them. As for as Christ being the solution I have never heard nor read anything in the catholic Church that says otherwise.

You really need to read what the church teach from the Church teachings and not from what your “protestant friends” are telling you it teaches.
