Yes, that’s a good thing. Since His will is good for us we should just stop praying and let Him do His will correct? Since prayer is not going to change His will anyways.
To help somebody of course. I pray for others. Not me. I trusted in God 110%. But on that day nothing happens.I think that could be construed as testing God which we should not do! Why would you ask for a miracle???
That’s not what you said in your earlier post. You did not say anything about helping others. To help somebody of course. I pray for others. Not me.
I prayed for a miracle for the person. If that person received a miracle, then of course I will be happy and my faith in God is increased even more. Sorry for making you misunderstand. It’s okay. Its over now. What happened happened. I don’t want to talk about it anymore.I quote: “I did prayed for a miracle which can increase my faith a hundred fold.”
Yeah, no. I mean, I get it, but what I’m saying is this: What he wants is:Yes, that’s a good thing. Since His will is good for us we should just stop praying and let Him do His will correct? Since prayer is not going to change His will anyways.
The problem is if people pray for something and don’t get it they tend to have a hissy fit and condemn God for ignoring or abandoning them. God never abandons us. Only we can abandon him.I really struggle with things myself. What is the passage of Matthew about asking for a bird and God the father granting a snake? Somehow I get the snake which runs contrary to the word…
Frankly, if you believe what this video says, I don’t know why you pray(ed) in the first place. :woman_shrugging:t2:Watch this video.
I understand. That’s what I told others too. I did not pray unreasonably. I only prayed to God during desperate situation which is totally out of my hand and too impossible for me to handle. It’s better to view prayer as an ongoing conversation with God rather than a series of “I asked God for this and my prayer didn’t work” like it is some sort of magic spell or vending machine
Hope you don’t mind my asking: Have you met anyone who is going through much the same things you are?In my experience, its been years and major issues where its been the polar opposite of what I have asked. Runs contrary to that passage.
I am not bargaining with God here. I only prayed for a miracle. I did not force Him to give me a miracle to make me happy or increase in faith. If that miracle took place I will be very happy of course. Wouldn’t you be happy too? Also, wouldn’t your faith in God and the power of prayer increase even more? With all due respect, asking for a miracle and telling God that if you get it you’ll be happy and your faith will be increased even more is NOT how to have a relationship with God.
Well said!Maybe when I was about 6 years old I thought like that. As an old person now, my faith in the power of prayer increases daily because I get benefits from the relationship with God and I’m able to cope with a lot of really hairy stuff, with God’s help.
I don’t ask much for miracles because it’s a miracle I get through the day a lot of times…that makes me happy.
