does not matter what tongue one prays in because You always need love " if i do great deeds but do not have love my works are for naught " also never matters what tongue of heaven or earth one speaks in giving " at His Name every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord and Messiah Throughout the Nations " there are many types of prayer a few are; public, private, efficacious, thanksgiving, the unique prayers everyone does say, unwitting, and hypocritical etc … prayers.

God bless
Makes sense

there is one fullness of Truth, one life, one baptism, one love, one representative servant of servants. the others just Seek Truth hoping in Love to search and find the One and Mistakenly, sometimes stay in ignorance; i.e. forgetting or they found a truth that is younger in years than many of the other choices. “there can only be One”

God bless
Sacred texts on hinduism are pretty old too , im kinda lost when trying to make a connection.

Another way to think about it is that there is only one Sun, but it has many dawning places. Though it rises in different places with a different name it is still the same Sun 👍

God Bless and Regards Tony

yes, 👍 only one Sun that is warm enough to support life so far. rising from the west/north depending on seasons and setting in the east; one day different times. so, beautiful God’s love gives and takes away for our Good.

Let me put it this way, to an extent 75% of the attributes that people worship in India is just a belief like people worship snakes and all that so i will not get there :-)but what about few other attributes that are mentioned in sacred texts that they really did exist like Krishna,Vishnu .

How am i supposed to connect it with Jesus and all that I am reading in Bible? I am just asking all this to find a connection and clear my doubts . No offense at all.

none taken 🙂

The Bhagwat Gita says that if you do your duty you will get the reward for it. this is much like Christianity You do faith and works in love for others and our God we servants will be given for what we lose. the prayer; Catholic mass is a prescribed formula of worship that includes rituals, procession, ceremony, and readings of scripture in the ancient language of Latin (a language not understood by most lay people and that must be interpreted by the priest). Hindu worship also includes prescribed rituals, ceremony, procession, and readings of scripture in the ancient language of Sanskrit, which is also not understood by most lay people and must be interpreted by the priest. In both religions, the ancient words carry meaning in and of themselves and, lay people often accept the words ritually without knowing their exact meaning ( but both should know ).

Thanks for the blog. My family are strong believers of Vishnu,if Jesus is son of God, and is one true faith then who is vishnu?

vishnu is what truth many have understand of our God then and now.
Not by speech, not by sight, not by mind can He be perceived. How then can He be apprehended except by just saying: `He is’. - Katha Upanishad 6:12.
this is just like the Christian God
“He is Who Was, Is, and will be; yhwh”
except He can be perceived if one is pure ( and our God allows ) usually happening in His Heaven.

usccb on shared traits

Don’t over think things, pray to God to come closer to him and you will.

That is good Advice! 😉

One God!

God’s Religions are for all mankind! All sent to bring Man to the Knowledge and Love of God. It is easy to forget in this age when communication of Worldly Events is instantaneous, that God Gave His Message to different people in different lands at different times to suit their needs and capacity. In essence the same Message given in different packages 😉 😊

Go doeth as God willeth!

God Bless all & Regards Tony

Vishnu is another name for God.

God has many names in many different cultures: El, Elohim, Allah, God, Dios,

Similarly, our understanding of the nature of God / Ultimate Reality has varied. In earliest times, we had polytheist understandings, that later evolved to henotheism, and later we came to true monotheism.

It doesn’t matter what we call God. What matters is how our heart responds to His Message.

Why do we have different religions when God is one?
It doesn’t seem to matter why I don’t agree with one particular religion or another.

Every answer I give leads to a condescending lecture about how mine is false.

This is sad…sorry to hear this Tzimisce.

Hope this message brings you joy and light for your day. I will pray for that today 🙂

Bless you!

Why do we have different religions when God is one?
Easy: God gave us a brain to use intellect, plus reasoning and free-will. Many religions does not negate God’s existence or His Eternity.

God bless you for coming here I know many Hindus here in Seattle and they are very anti Christian…

A great story I heard is from a COEUR d’ALENE Native American that said his religion prepared them for the message of jesus when they met a Jesuit

Meaning if one hasn’t heard the gospel of jesus their heart will search him and fill it with the best knowledge they have of him

Thanks. That was a good line. Not all of them as I am an example. 🙂

i am starting to realize that few questions could be answered only by following your own heart.🙂

Why do we have different religions when God is one?
If you give a hundred kids each a paintbrush, even with the same three primary colors, you will get a hundred different pictures.

If we look behind all the artwork of the kids, we go back to the origin and we see how these patterns emerge from free will.

So in our expression of free will, we have different ideas, and when separated by oceans and rivers, mountains and time, many religious pictures have emerged.

We need to look beyond the pictures of religion created by man in his expression of free will, taking that into account, but looking towards the One Who has handed us the paintbrushes and the colors…
