Why do 7th day adventists consider Catholic Church "the whore of Babylon"?

I saw a SDA billboard in a rural area north of Tampa, FL while comig back froma road trip last month. It said something about the “anti-Christ” (our Pope) changing the sabbath to Sunday. I think it’s safe to say that they aren’t ‘softening’ their views towards Catholics…😛

Yes…and no. Following the death of Miller they came under the leadership of Ellen White who made the SDAs a separate denomination and changed the doctrines considerably.

Ms White is considered the “voice of Prophecy” by the SDAs and her plagerized writings hold as much weight as the Jewish and Christian scriptures.

The SDAs are semi kosher Christians, although they do not separate milk from meat they do eschew pork and shellfish.

Many SDAs are now vegans and the John Kellog of Kellog’s corn flakes was SDA.

If you can track it down I recommend the 80’s film THE ROAD TO WELLVILLE. It’s a comedy about John Harvey Kellogg and his Battle Creek Sanatarium.

It is hilarious! 😃

They believe this because a lot of their teachings come from the book of Daniel and revelation. Their main argument is the whole issue in regards to the Sabbath.

My gf is SDA and we been reading the bible, started last yr around this time, last night we finished reading chapter 7 from Acts. Let me tell you, they like to knit pick, and my gf is starting to see that.

Not only do they call the CC names, but when you look at their doctrines, they accept abortion, contraception, my gf has said that their even not as a whole but ppl in her church want to accept gay marriage and have women pastors.

It’s like I told her, why don’t you guys criticize yourself first before pointing the fingers at others.
