You know something that comes to mind at this question is a song by Mercy Me “I can only imagine”. What I imagine, when I see God Father, Son and Holy Spirit, is that if I would be “standing” that I would be in such awe that I would immediately fall to my knees possibly even become prostrate at the very presence of God. And at mass the Presence of God is there in that very special way. When I pray at home I try to put myself in the presence of God and so I kneel. It seems, to me, the natural thing to do.
