Why do Catholics say it’s not about “us” when it comes to mass? Are we not there to receive as well?
– Why is it not about us when someone complains about a horrible homily? Should not the priest’s words be encouraging and/or exhort us of our sins. Is not the priests job to lead his flock as well?
– Why is it not about us when congregants are strangers to each other. Why is it wrong to offer a smile when eyes meet during mass?
– Why is it **not about us ** when the priest faces the congregation ( so says some proponents of the traditional mass).
Is salvation not personal as well?
