Why do God bless some more than others?

Gifts aren’t necessarily blessings. A good-looking person with plenty of money is exposed to all kinds of temptations. A person with intelligence is more likely to trust their intelligence rather than trust God, or use their intelligence to reason that God doesn’t exist. Lucifer was the smartest and most beautiful of all the angels and look what happened there.

God has a purpose in everything he gives and everything he withholds, but earthly benefits like beauty, money or intelligence have nothing to do with his love for a person. He loves all of us the same. We are not capable of understanding all his purposes, at least not in this life. Some other religions teach that things like money and success are signs of God’'s favor, which really turns me off, as the logical next step is to start shunning the poor and unsuccessful as less favored by God and thus less deserving of our attention, and that’s about what I’ve seen happen with a couple of these churches.

👍 It goes to show that every advantage has a corresponding disadvantage - as Jesus implied in the Beatitudes…

This is something like what I believe.

A “gift” from God also implies a responsibility.

The person who was born to wealth or who achieves great material success has a responsibility to use some of that wealth to benefit others.

Somebody who God didn’t bless in that way might not have the same obligation to do that.

So are those who didn’t receive anything exempted? If they have no gifts…what are they supposed to do

Beauty can be used to bring people in.

Wealth can be used to help the poor

They are both blessings, but some can waste such blessings away.

Others have blessings that are not tangible (eg intelligence, writing, singing, speaking etc)

Some are more connected to God than others (eg God communicating to Saints, or they have experiences, or gifts of the holy spirit etc)

I’m not talking about what you think are blessings, but rather why certain people seem to get showered with more blessings and others have none.
True beauty comes from within - outside means nothing. Both wealth and beauty (on the outside) can lead you straight to hell. You can become a slave to both - obsession with your beauty and materialism with you wealth - you can be blinded both and true motive for both is self.

We have prayer and the sacraments to ask for those blessings. The Lord wants to give us what we need to become holy.
That would bring me back to the first post. Some people don’t get what they pray for. Hence “nothing” instead of “not getting what they want”

Life is unfair, from the moment we were born till the time we die.
Unsupported assertions are worthless. Nevertheless if it is unfair how do you try to rectify its unfairness?

BTW Is life unfair in every respect? If not specify in which respects?

I just made a statement that many make, even theists say this, I don’t have to write an essay on every statement.
It doesn’t mean that the statement or the argument is worthless, if it wasn’t supported by large explanations. That’s the case for almost every quote and saying.

How do I rectify it?

As much as I can according to my ability.

How do you rectify it?

You need to explain what they pray for and whether it is in their interests to get what they pray for…

At the very least you have to give **one **reason to justify such a generalisation.

Again you need to be more precise.

It is illogical to answer a question with a question!

Praying for strength, praying to feel God’s love, etc

Some people are left in a state of desolation for years and years with nothing going for them, while others could pray for something and immediately see blessings

Everything an atheist writes you oppose even if you believe it was true, we’re not in a fight or war, even If I ask a question you asked to me, you answer “it is illogical to answer a question with a question”.

First, it is a wrong statement, even Jesus in the bible did that. 😛
secondly I’m not answering a question with a question, I already answered yours and I’m asking you the same question.
