Too bad we don’t have time limits on paid staff, who literally run the parish, dictating to the new priest how things are gonna be.
Fortunately, this didn’t happen when our new pastor came along. He really tried hard to work with the current office staff. He did make some changes, such as the website manager, bookkeeper, office manager, etc. People really came to respect him, especially because his main concern is bringing a positive, Christ-like presence to our parish.Too bad we don’t have time limits on paid staff, who literally run the parish, dictating to the new priest how things are gonna be.![]()
Why can’t they stay in 1 parish permanantly? Am I being naive?selfish?
How to do say good bye to a priest that’s leaving the parish?
:crying:
It really sucks though when they’re your confessor and know you well enough that two minutes of counsel can be a major help. It’s like having to start over again.Just because the vocation of every baptised is to Leave. The Apostles never staid in the same place all their life because the mission is so big.
So we don’t have to be too attached to our priest like our property, and the fact to have a new one could favours to have a new breath.
God Bless you.
