An allergy to the sulfites in wine is fairly common.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Hi,
I was just wondering - I go to mass on Sunday morning, and when we go up to receive communion half the people go straight back to their seats. In two side chapels they offer the blood of Christ - I always go to receive it, but it seems many do not. Why on earth would anyone not want to participate in the full sacrament?Hygiene? Some urgent need to get back to their seat? I have to say I would feel somewhat ‘cheated’ if I went to communion and only received the Body and not the Blood also.
Your thoughts?
I keep hand sanitizer in my hands and use it right after we all hold hands during the Lord’s Prayer. This part could definitely be eliminated.+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
There are a lot of people who are afraid of germs, especially if that person drinks the Blood of Christ. he should refrain form it because of germs. Did you know that just by receiving the Body alone you are still receiving the Body and Blood of Christ even though you do not drink the Preciious Blood.
God bless you.
Another thing I think should be taken out of mass is the shaking of hands. This is where yur germs come from, the hands. People wil blowing their nose, coughing, and still wqant to shak hands. I think this part should be omitted.

The holding of hands during the Our Father is not a required (or mentioned, for that matter) rubric at all. It’s a local custom (to which you are not bound) in some places.right after we all hold hands during the Lord’s Prayer. This part could definitely be eliminated.
My parish has been treating me unfairly for years, and I never knew!Now, I’ve just learned that our pastor has permanently discontinued giving the Precious Blood during communion. At first, he said it was because of Swine Flu, but he hasn’t brought it back. He, the deacons, and altar servers take it, but it’s not available for the congregation. It is so unfair that we don’t even have the choice to receive or not receive the Blood.
Those are extremely good reasons for Father discontinue distribution of the Precious Blood. :clapping:One of the holy ministers of the Eucharist told me it’s because Fr.; gets upset that people are’t careful with it, it gets spilled, etc.
