Do you ever listen to the “health experts” talk about the heath crisis of the day? They often talk as if they know everything associated to curing the latest malady. For example first there was the “don’t eat salt” rage. Then we found out that using salt is just fine. Then it was the “don’t eat eggs” craze. Now eating eggs is encouraged in the high protein diets. Then there was the “everyone is too fat” fad. This one is really funny because last year the government released the ideal body weight charts for Americans. I have always been pretty skinny, but on the government chart, 6ft. tall 177 lbs and I am 10 lbs over weight. Now just this week we hear on the news that being over weight is a good thing. So what is it?

**I’m confused! **

The title of your posting is “Why do Liberals Hate Christian Conservatives in Politics?” but it’s all about food and health.

Perhaps a new report found that Christian Conservatives are unhealthy and this is why they chew em up, then spit em out.

🙂 Liberals are like these “health experts”, they first talk of this crisis, then the next one then on to another one. They are constantly changing what is right and wrong, both in politics and in society and they change the measuring stick by which we are to judge the issue.
One example of this is the same-sex marriage debate. Could you imagine John F. Kennedy supporting same-sex marriage? Could you imagine him making any of the augments that the liberals are making now in support of same sex marriage? I think not.

Look around in liberal circles; you see significant support for the Communist, Castro of Cuba. Could you imagine Kennedy thinking that way? Again, I think not.

Liberals change their minds and their arguments whenever it suits them. They go with the direction of society, whatever that direction is. Weather it leads to debauchery and destruction or not.

Let me give you an example of this. Liberals supported “no fault divorce”. They say this was for the protection of women so that if they were getting abused they could easily get out of a bad marriage. That is just fine, if a woman was getting abused she should get out of a marriage. The problem is, she could have gotten out of an abusive marriage before with the laws the way there were.

But, what was the result? We have rampant divorce everywhere. You don’t need any real reason at all to get divorced. And what has been the cost to society? As Hillary says, “It’s about the Children”. Our children have experienced massive devastation, from school shootings, drugs, cutting, teen pregnancy, the list goes one and one.

But Christian Conservatives generally stand for absolute unchanging truth. In our current example, a Christian conservative would have said that divorce is wrong and we should not go down the path of easy divorce. Therefore we would not have experienced this current devastation. Conservatives believe in absolute right and wrong or absolute truth.

Once you move to the world of absolute truth, relativism gets pushed aside. The effect of this is that for most of the issues of the day, Liberals loose the debate. Their debates are not based on unchanging truths; they are based on emotions and feelings so when a trump card of absolute truth gets played they quake in fear. They know they are defeated.

What does this mean for Conservative Christians?
  1. Know the truth
  2. Live the truth
  3. Speak the truth
If you do this, you will have an incredible influence on society.

Um, isn’t China Communist? How come we don’t have an embargo with them? BTW, the Cold War’s over…

How about when conservative politics lead to debauchery and destruction? Isn’t the ability to admit you’ve made a mistake and the courage to seek to improve a sign of strength rather than weakness?

Then why do so many conservatives get divorced? BTW, recent studies show that the divorce rate isn’t as bad as we thought (turns out they were counting a lot of the data twice, such as one person divorced several times), and in fact it’s actually decreasing, especially among college grads. I can go find that article if you want.

Personally, I’m a fan of logical arguments base on empirical data. I don’t care for squishy emotion-based arguments, whether from the political left (i.e. cows have feelings!) or from the political right (i.e. we’re right because we have lots of guns!). A lot of “liberals” I know feel the same. I guess we’re not really liberal. That’s ok, I don’t really care about labels anyway, I’m more concerned about results.

Yeah, it’s a pretty lame article, and I’m a conservative! I don’t like being “bolstered” by a moron.

But it is kind of funny the odd campaigns liberals have been on. I mean, how many people in 1980 were thinking, wow if only we had gay marriage! Life would be so much better? It still feels like this one came out of the blue. It’s like a very small interest group agitates for something like this, and for lack of other ideas, the rest glom on to the movement and make it into a birthright. I’m sure conservatives have their share of these kooks too.

When you get right down to it, there aren’t that many great ideas out there, and the pols scramble to seem to be on the cutting edge of change. Guess I’m basically for the status quo, just so they won’t do more damage.

I don’t really understand the whole gay marriage issue, either. Something like, what, 8% of the population is gay, and out of those an even smaller number actually want to be married…seems like a lot of hullabaloo over not much. If I were in politics, I’d just suggest reforming the laws regulating who can visit in hospitals and so forth so you can designate who is allowed to visit, beyond family. Should go along way toward addressing the sorts of concerns brought up by same-sex marriage proponents. No need to force a constitutional crisis.
