Why do militant atheists post here?

This has been my experience almost universally when someone finds out I’m Catholic. They aren’t always atheists necessarily, just people who are critical of organized religion and see anyone following one to be a dupe.

Those conversations don’t go well, however, because I was once one of those people and I’ve got an answer for almost every issue they’ll bring up. They can’t comprehend that you could be intelligent AND religious, so they don’t expect well-learned apologetics.
 
I completely agree with this. Atheists I post with on another forum think that atheism is the only
logical answer given the inconsistencies they see in the Bible and especially Genesis with the two accounts, etc. They feel they are logically superior.

I am sure that does not apply to all atheists, but that’s been my experience on another site.
 
Not all people are artistic. Some have some skill in it. Others admit that they cannot present art in any way, Faith is like this as well. Believing in God comes easy to others, and not so easy to other sorts. I am glad they come here and add to the Catholic portrait. We will see this portrait in the final judgment.
