The LDS teach that the spirits of people who have died without the blessings of being a Mormon here on earth cannot enjoy the peculiar rewards of the LDS heaven until a Mormon here below is baptized by proxy for them. All non-Mormon baptisms are invalid.

just you wait Bill Pick, just you wait and see.

you are going to be in hell, begging, crying and screaming for some Mormon to go to the temple for you.

Yeah, Outer darkness, the place where lucifer and the demons will go, is reserved for the worst of the apostates of the Mormon church.

I thought LDS had no hell?
why go to a cult to be saved, I had baptism years ago ,thank you. and a valit one at that. why is your cult playing GOD. If I have to be baptism when I,m dead well so be it HAHAHA.
BTW did you get this from smith or some of your other prophets hahaha

Bill Pick,

You’re right. This is pretty uncharitable. Maybe we can get this guy hooked up with paarsurrey? I can’t believe you were able to stay calm and you didn’t yell at this guy.

Peace, Graubo

well if you look i did start a new tread about baptism for the dead

Good grief.

Graubo, I thought Bill Pick was going to exhibit a trace of a sense of humor, especially because of his remarks about me ("@@@@") on his new thread, but then you came in and snuffed that out. Are you from a monastery or what? I mean, didn’t you at least like the line about barbeque sauce? Have you considered Episcopalianism?

Mea culpa and I shall now proceed below with the utmost GRAVITY and SOLEMNITY for as long as I can help myself.

Now, zaffiroborant asked a good question and he got pretty good responses from Catholic Dude and nebula. Also, on Bill Pick’s new thread about me ("@@@@") Publisher gave a good response. Bill Pick or others, if you want a short low down on our afterlife look in the Church’s little book “True to the Faith” which you can find on line in digital format thus:
  1. go to www.lds.org
  2. upper left of screen click “Gospel Library”
3 upper left of “Gospel Library” screen click “Support Materials”
  3. upper left of “Support Materials” screen click “Family”
  4. under “More Support Materials” click on “True to the Faith”
  5. you will see the Table of Contents which is alphabetical
  6. click on the Table of Contents topics “Hell” and “Kingdoms of Glory”
Outer darkness, referred to by Catholic Dude and nebula, is one hell, from which there is no escape, but you cannot possibly go there because you are not a Mormon. If you convert, God will up the ante on you, but you would have to be really bad to wind up there. In other words, as to this Hell, not only are non-Mormons not going there, only Mormons (really bad) are going there.

The other Hell is Spirit Prison, where, unless you convert while alive, you will go when you die. In Spirit Prison, you will have the opportunity be taught the gospel and the opportunity to accept the baptism for the dead which a Mormon performs for you in the temple. If you accept, you will dwell in Paradise until the Resurrection, and then you will go to the one of the Three Kingdoms of Glory as to which you are worthy. All three are heaven. If you decline, you will remain in Spirit Prison until the end of the Millennium and then you will go to the lowest, Telestial, Kingdom of Glory. Remember, although the lowest, that is still heaven.

BTW Even for those Mormons sent to outermost darkness, there is no need for barbeque sauce. The fire and brimstone are metaphorical. Joseph said: “A man is his own tormenter and condemner. Hence the saying, They shall go into the lake that burns with fire and brimstone. The torment of disappointment in the mind of man is as exquisite as a lake burning with fire and brimstone.” Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, Section Six.

So you see, I really was kidding! BTW, if you call me, a member of the one true church a “@@@@” again, you will not have to wait to the afterlife for punishment. The Lord will smite you with hangnails, dandruff and toothache.
