NOT! Try again:

here’s the link (Edited because it’s irrelevant unless I want to read a bad translation…)
Proverbs 1:22
"How long will you simple ones love your simple ways?
How long will mockers delight in mockery
and fools hate knowledge?
:thumbsup:Why would I care to read Tyndale’s messed up translation when I have better one to hand?

You completely fail to respond to the facts that were set out to you above and instead seek to portray me as a mocker when all I did was recognize that the facts indict Tyndale’s translation.

Can you prove the documented facts above wrong because if not all I see here is you trying to smokescreen yourself from an indefensible position with rhetoric and diversion.

It looks to me like you want to divert attention from the facts with some Bible goose chase…

If what was shown above is wrong, then prove it…or admit that you don’t want it to be true, but don’t try to play me off as the bad guy. That’s deceptive and not very Christ-like.

Going from the admittedly tiny sample set on this board, I would conclude that among the Catholics who don’t know their bible, they don’t know it because they don’t really care to know it.😦

It’s just not important to them.

It is easier to mock and ridicule other Christians who attempt to learn and grow their faith through disciplined study of God’s Word.

Romans 1: 21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

Actually you are trying to bring too many arguments in at a time, in truth I believe many of us not only know our Bible but, also the history of the Bible and History of the Church very well. And were we fall short we know were to get the answers…from the Church.

1Timothy 3:15 *But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is **the church **of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. *

I told you before fella that I know the Bible as well or better than you and any of the rest of the people on here, Catholic or Non, but especially n-C.

You have yet to prove me wrong on this or that Catholics do not know the Bible as well as comparable n-Cs.

The further fact is that the majority of your posts and comments on this thread have done nothing but derail it and lead it off topic.

Generalizations rarely prove true, but in my personal experience, n-Cs have not proved to be as knowledgeable as their propaganda claims.

Not only do most catholics not know the bible well, they also don’t know the teachings of Catholicism as well as they should.

I started a thread on this subject a few weeks ago.
I have been surprised by how many Protestants tell me that i know the Bible very well. It surprised me because i didn’t really feel that i did… I mean, i KNOW it, but not to where i can quote it verbatim and find any given passage just like that.

I “know” the Bible because i have been going to Mass every day for several years and have been going every Sunday ever since i was about 6 yrs old… If you go daily for 3 years, you will hear the entire Bible… (How much u retain is a different thing, of course…).

some people i have known who were really into studying the Bible have been the Worst at practicing what they read… And then there are those who practice well but don’t really KNOW the Bible as well as the study-ers do…
Frankly, i think those who just accidentally “act right” do better than a lot of “devout” Christians do…
but then, i suppose that’s becasue the devil attacks the devout more…
Anyway, God bles… :o

Now there is a lot truth in that statement…

Anyone can memorize …putting it into practice is another matter altogether.
