Perhaps it’s our habit of saying ‘Don’t believe a word of it’ to those beliefs that others hold as sacred and unifying?

I couldn’t find the proper icon to express my reaction of wry and bemused agreement. And yet the Jewish people are meant to be the world’s teachers, especially in spiritual affairs.

I suppose I simply meant that it’s sad to see how the world has treated those same teachers over the millenia… exile, pogroms, forced conversions, crusades, the holocaust…
