God gave us Mary and I do love and honor her as Jesus mother. But Jesus did not say that she was our intercessor. I go direct to the Father thru Jesus.
Do you accept the IC dogma? I know it is mandatory for all catholics, and even the catholics in all caps, but I also know some deny dogmas. So, I was curious if you held to the dogma or decided it is not one you need to believe.

I made comment to you, StrawberryJam, on your thread. I’m not sure if you’ve noticed.

What dogma do you want me to answer to?

I think you are correct. Are any of these verses about praying that a saint should or would pray for us? Also note, we are to confess to each other; no mention to confess to a clergy person.
So we should confess to each other, but NOT clergy persons…

There goes that individualism again… Its just you and God huh…

I don’t understand this Mary interceding for someone. Why do you need her to talk to God for you. Do you think God won’t listen to you? Do you think God won’t hear you? Do you think God will answer your prayer faster? I don’t understand.

What does the verse say? BTW, is it individualism to read what the Bible SAYS and not add to it?

I think we should confess to a clergy person if we’ve sinned against the person. I think we should find a clergy person well versed in the Bible and has a life touched deaply by the Holy Spirit to council us through sin and other problems.

Clergy from the Church have had visions of Mary. Saint Juan Diego, the children of Fatima, etc…

Mary shows herself to some Catholics, and asks us to pray to her so that she can present our prayers to Jesus.

Its not that we want to, its that she wants us to. She is our mother, we are one body, one spirit in Christ.

I get the impression thy look at Mary as more righteous than we are and according to one verse, it’s the rightious that get their prayers answered.

I’d agree Mary if far more righteous than me.

Hey, why do you go to the doctor when you have a cold? A surgeon when you need surgery?

Never underestimate the power of prayer.

Its not verses. Its more that we are the Church who communicates with our mother. Physically, and spiritually.

Havent you been cheering on the protestants this entire thread?

Why? I am confused?
I am CAtholic and they are my brothers and sisters in Christ. Why do you kick them down? Are you showing Christs love? I believe all are children of God.
