Can you give me something better then that. Can you answer my questions without questions please.
Can you use question marks? šŸ˜›

Here’s the thing: You can, of course, rely on God for everything. But He blesses us in so many ways, that He gives us more than we need. He blesses us with doctors to look out for our physical needs, teachers for our intellectual needs, and prayer intercessors for our spiritual needs.

Thank you and I do not hace to assent to you only God. I am a Catholic belong to a Catholic Church. Just do not always agree with everything. I really do not owe you one thing except to show you Christ love for you and I do. God Bless

Thanks for the response… I am trying to give new light for you to see the Catholic Church and how/why it sees Mary as it does.

You see, the individualism that we see today is good, but it is new… In old times, and probably in the future, the groups were viewed in whole more so than as individuals within the group. This ā€œgroupā€ mentality is on the rise today, as in socialized medicine, and everyone looking out for each other. The individual is seen today as a ā€œgreedyā€ way to be, it is blamed for scandals and the fall of our current economy.

But now as far as Mary goes, Catholics understand her as part of our family. We see humanity as one big family, and Mary is our mother. We see ourselves as one body, one spirit in Christ. We are one with the Apostles, martyrs, saints, angels, Mary, and all lthe clergy. WE ARE ONE BIG FAMILY…

So praying to mary is no different than an infant crying to its mother. We dont worship our mothers, we just call for them when we need help. But we understnd that jesus is one Body, one spirit with GOD. So we worship Jesus as we worship God.

Thank you once again in Christ love. You have corrected me and thank you.God Bless

Sorry about the ? marks.

So because God blesses us in so many way. We need Mary because God is overwherlmed?

Why would Mary ask us to pray to her so she can present our prayers to Jesus?
Doesn’t Jesus/God hear our prayers for himself?
If you are one Spirit in Christ they you don’t need Mary to pray for you or to present your prayers to Jesus.
You’ve just hit the nail on the head… It does not matter WHY. We do not question why God sent Mary to the Saints and clergy to tell us to pray to her.

What matters is that it happened… And we must respond accordingly to God, as he sent Mary to us by His will… Mary is trustworthy, she is the Mothr of Jesus, and is the mother of this entire church. We love her as a mother, and cry to her like babies cry to their own mother. There is a level of intimacy here, maternal intimacy that catholics have with Mary. I have no scriptural support, only trust in the Church.

Thank you. :curtsey:

No, not because God is overwhelmed, but because He gives us what we need to become closer to Him in our daily lives. A doctor’s prescription will bring you closer to physical healing, and Mary’s love and intercession with bring you closer to Jesus.

Where does it say that we need Mary to bring us closer to Jesus?
I never heard of such a thing.

In response to the original question, I myself in no way dislike Mary. Those of us that didn’t grow up Catholic, but are Christians, do not understand the Catholic Church’s views on Mary. I certainly look at her as an important figure in Christianity, I would compare my awe of her to that of Moses, Abraham, David. However I always saw the Catholics ā€œworshipā€ of Mary as borderline idolatry. We should pray to and praise the Holy Trinity alone in my opinion. The prophets talk about the Messiah’s coming, sitting at the right hand of God, etc, I don’t see anywhere in the Bible where God or Jesus commands us to pray to the Virgin Mary. If I’m wrong please correct me, I am always trying to learn the Truth, and am currently studying the beginnings of the Church. Thanks.

Saying that the end justifies the means is wrong.
I’ d like to ask St. Paul about it. šŸ™‚

Acts 26:9-11
9 ā€œIndeed, I (Paul/Saul) myself thought I must do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth. 10 This I also did in Jerusalem, and many of the saints I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I cast my vote against them. 11 And I punished them often in every synagogue and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly enraged against them, I persecuted them even to foreign cities.

Paul was doing ā€œthisā€ as a devout Jew in his zeal to please God. He believed that those persons who were following the Way, the followers of Jesus, were blaspheming God. He wanted to stop the blasphemy that they were committing against God.

Ok we’ve bounced all around my 4 questions that never got answered. Here they are again.
  1. Why do you need Mary to talk to God for you?
  2. Do you think God won’t listen to you?
  3. Do you think God won’t hear you?
  4. Do you thind God will answer your prayer faster?

Didn’t the law Saul/Paul followed said blasphemers where to be put to death?

Thank you and God Bless. I cannot defend if it aint in the Bible. Do you want me to tell a lie? Would that make you all happy?
Where does it say in the Bible ā€œif it ain’t in the Bible, it’s a lieā€?
Where does it say that we need Mary to bring us closer to Jesus?
I never heard of such a thing.
Have you read any Marian Doctrine?
