Are we the remnants of the Tower of Babel? How did the world advance so much over the past 150 years or so given we disagree so much?
I think that he is absolutely correct!Oh…I don’t think that’s true at all!
I absolutely agree! With regards to the tower of Babel I think that pertains more to confusion among people and their understanding or Misunderstanding of one another rather than argumentation.
First lets all agree on what it is we disagree about. Can’t we all just agree to disagree?![]()
We have, 150 years ago disagreements might come to blows, knife, or gun fights in all but high society. Crime, Gang brawls, terrorism, and war are still with us, but a wide spread acceptance of civil society and seeking grievances through court action has allowed and emboldened people to speak their mind. Can’t we all just agree to disagree?![]()
But why is the world as a whole growing and prospering as it is with all the pride and conceit? Explain the technological revolution to me in recognition of the very limited innate human wit? Many people like to talk about themselves(not all).
Then there is the words Diologue and pride…

God bless
I’m interested in the biblical story of “The Tower of Babel” on life in “modern” times. It’s not hard to see that people today argue and disagree to the point that it’s doubtful that we could have made the world into what it is today. Our very limited innate wit is also of interest to me and I’m interested in how, combined with the arguing and disagreements, our world could ever have come about without some sort of outside influence. Things simply do not add up for me.Is this a new question? Did the first one have any Apologetic concern of a scripture? Now even greater vagueness in your questions. What is the point of this thread?
Inflammatory language, most likely. Are we the remnants of the Tower of Babel? How did the world advance so much over the past 150 years or so given we disagree so much?
Where did I use the term “mutilated” in this thread??? Where did I use “Inflammatory language???”Inflammatory language, most likely.
It’s hard to tell if it’s intentional or if someone is just being irresponsible with a thesaurus.
Snout and beak are not really the same as nose. And mutilated is not the same as butchered, no matter what Roget says.![]()
God’s Divine Providence. But why is the world as a whole growing and prospering as it is with all the pride and conceit? Explain the technological revolution to me in recognition of the very limited innate human wit?
And even here we find rebellious priests and modernists who disagree with the Holy See and that way damage our Church - which will never be overcome as Jesus promised. The only constant in life is the Catholic Church and prayers.
Simply because humans are so many. There are always some who overcome the common limited innate human witExplain the technological revolution to me in recognition of the very limited innate human wit?.
To me as a foreigner, that’s even impossible to tellIt’s hard to tell if it’s intentional or if someone is just being irresponsible with a thesaurus
