I see almost everyone do the Sign of the Cross after recieving the body of Christ and after recieving the blood of Christ. Is this something we should all be doing? is it in the c.c.c.?
There is nothing in the GIRM or liturgical documents that mention making the sign of the cross after receiving communion. Many people do it simply as a sign of respect and reverence for the sacrament they have just received. However, no one is required to do it.
