They are not in heartbreaking poverty when it comes to Christ, as they at least view Jesus as a prophet.

edit
a Christ who is not God incarnate, did not die for their sins, did not rise from the dead, has not purchased for them eternal life with His own blood, and who can never be known as Lord and Saviour, merely “son of Mary”, “messenger” and “slave of Allah”?

what kind of Christ is that? He is not the Christ of history, nor the Bible, but of Islamic religious thought and imagination. the Muslims are poor and deprived indeed of any knowlege of Christ, for who He is and wants to be for them.

they may know a lot about the Isa of the Quran, but the Christ of the Bible? they do not know Him.

I can’t remember his name, but the man the Pope helped out of Islam years ago would be on that list maybe. I don’t think he even converted to catholicism, but he wanted to convert to christianity.

Do you recall that story? I can’t remember the country he lived in even.
is this him?

Maybe you’re thinking of Mehmet Ali Agca, would-be assassin of JPII, or Magdi Allam, the Egyptian-born Italian journalist who converted to Catholicism in 2008?

Edit: Was it Abdul Rahman, the famous convert from Afghanistan who had to seek asylum in Italy 2006 to avoid being murdered by the new “democratic” Afghan state for converting to Christianity?

Yes! Abdul Rahman. You got it!

I appreciate you Dzheremi!

Thanks, StrawberryJam! I was not aware that the Pope had intervened on Abdul Rahman’s behalf. That makes sense, and is good to know. That was a terrifying situation.

do you know of any?
If your definition of Christian is was baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit as infants, then I know two. One is one of the Nation of Islam’s Minister Muhammed’s, the other can best be described by this boards slang as a cafeteria Sunni. Of people who self identified as Christians I know one who was NOI for a little while.

self edit, there was another who converted while working in the UAE and reconverted upon returning home.

Although Allam never prayed five times a day facing Mecca and never fasted during Ramadan, as is required of all Muslims, he did make the pilgrimage to Mecca with his deeply religious mother in 1991.

LOL
Does Allah only hear prayers if they are said in a certain direction? Is he limited in how he can hear prayers?

Ahh, so raising the bar I see. Alright, so what evidence do you have that any of the people on your list were more than just self described Christians?

You seem to be playing that double standards game you Muslims are so good at.

these handful include no knowledgeable people like imams, mullahs, etc…
Here is a giant list from WikiIslam: Former Mullahs, Imams, Dawah missionaries who converted to Christianity

I don’t know how famous any of them are, though.
nope, none are famous or even found on wikipedia or youtube. How can you use faithfreedom as proof? lol hilarious.
The ones that werent preachers, I dont care much about as most of them are fake anyway. you can find proof of ergun mehmet caner being a fake, its well known: islam77.com/videos/38/fake-ex-muslim-ergun-mehmet-caner
the others like nasir siddiki and stuff are all fake.

i give u guys one more chance.

Presently being employed in arabian country, I met some philippinos who converted to Islam. Dont know what made them do so, but as to what I have heard from their friends, that once they are on vacation in their own country they are Christians. When they come back they are muslims.

What I do know of is that the salaries get increased, and lots of gifts are given to those who convert and even special trips to their religious places are organized.
Well that’s one creative way to bring terrorists into the western Countries, disguise them as Christians, because their Islam allows “Lieing” to be a good virtue; Jesus calls Satan the Father of lies.

Qu’ran – allows its followers to Lie and deceive as a virtue of Islam

Taqiyya = lying against unbelievers is a virtue and a religious duty according to the Qu’ran, Haddith (tradition), Islamic Law

Qu’ran

Sura 16:106 Establishes that there are circumstances that can “compel” a Muslim to tell a lie

Sura 3:28 This verse tells Muslims not to take those outside the faith as friends unless it is to “guard themselves”

Sura 40:28 A man is introduced as a believer, but one who must “hide his faith” among those who are not believers

Sura 2:225 “Allah will not call you to account for thoughtlessness in your oaths but for the intention in your hearts”

Sura 66:2 “Allah has already ordained you ( O men), the dissolution of your oaths” Taken collectively these verses are interpreted to mean that there are circumstances when a Muslim may be “compelled” to deceive others for a greater purpose.

Haddith tradition

Bukhari 52:269 The prophet said, “War is deceit” after he murdered Ushayr Ibn Z arim and his 30 unarmed men, by Muhommads men, after he guaranteed them safe passage.

Bukhari 49:857 “He who makes peace between the people by inventing good information or saying good things, is not a Liar, “Lying is Permitted when the end Justifies the Means.

Bukhari 84:64-65 (Speaking from a position of Power) Ali- confirms that “ lying is permissible in order to deceive an enemy”.

Bukhari 52:271 Ka’bbin Al- Ashraf at Muhommads insistence, his men dishonestly gained Ka’bs trust in order to bring him out of hiding, by stating there no longer are Muslims, and then brutally assisinated him.

Islamic law
Reliance of the traveler ( pg. 746) It is obligatory to Lie if the goal is obligatory:

why do christians confess their sins? does God not know they are sorry in their hearts? double standards.

please don’t try to derail the thread because you can’t come up with good arguments. have a decent conversation like the others if you are truthful.

Or what?

And, what do you mean by “one more chance”?

This amounts to all chance. It is highly superstitious of you to make the ad populum argument here considering what you claim the attributes of Allah to be.

It should not matter how many, and in fact it could be said it is more proof of your God if less believe.

I am only asking for clarity on your statement, because I am starting to worry about what you may do if I am the one who flunks the “one more chance” and unleashes mayhem beyond anyone’s understanding as we constantly see in your faith community, sadly.
