Nope there is not right to evil. They have the ability to do evil but not the right. It’s because they have the right not to, and they have the freedom not to.
Catholics are to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation. Unless of course there is a good reason they cannot or are dispensed. It’s like the example of not attending Mass: people (even Catholics) have the right not to attend…and some don’t attend…they’re not commiting an evil by not attending. It is irrelevent for someone to claim that they don’t have the right, because they do and make that choice regularly. If they didn’t have the right (and the capacity), they wouldn’t be able to do it…like, we don’t have the right to kill our neighbor.
No it is not. It’s not arbitrary. A fetus cannot live outside the womb at 22 weeks. At 23 weeks it is possible.

I agree, but our technology as it stands it is possible, although unlikely to keep a 23 week old fetus alive outside the womb. Did you look at the link? It’s about premature births. No it is not.
You place a 23 week old fetus on a bed, it will die.
It requires tremendous support to keep it running.
Such has absolutely nothing to do with if he is human or not! Or if you can intentionally kill him or not!!!I agree, but our technology as it stands it is possible, although unlikely to keep a 23 week old fetus alive outside the womb. Did you look at the link? It’s about premature births.
We are tribal in nature. Our politics and religions put us in “in” groups and “out” groups. I don’t think that we will advance as a species until we realize that our “tribe” is the human race, not any one creed, religion or race. Tolerance is the first step. We acknowledge that there are differences and they are strongly held as our own. We have to figure out how to get along so we can work toward the common goal of the betterment of all people.I’d like you ask you an honest question if you don’t mind.
The human race is defined by our constant drive to influence others… We spend our entire lives influencing and being influenced. The new ideology of Tolerance on the other hand tells us that this is wrongful. I’d really like to know why humans should resist their natural desire to influence others. I must know.
It is about who “owns” the womb. The woman or the fetus. When the fetus becomes viable he can be evicted and still have a life.Such has absolutely nothing to do with if he is human or not! Or if you can intentionally kill him or not!!!
No- it is about a living Child being cared for by his Mother. It is about who “owns” the womb. The woman or the fetus…
That still doesn’t make it “evil”…Catholics are to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation. Unless of course there is a good reason they cannot or are dispensed.
Catechism:
2181 The Sunday Eucharist is the foundation and confirmation of all Christian practice. For this reason the faithful are obliged to participate in the Eucharist on days of obligation, unless excused for a serious reason (for example, illness, the care of infants) or dispensed by their own pastor. Those who deliberately fail in this obligation commit a grave sin.
Well, if you’re claiming that it’s evil to skip Mass, then yeah, they have the right and the ability.Nope there is not right to evil. They have the ability to do evil but not the right.
Just as I have the ability to date someone who is not my wife (and sin gravely thereby) but I do not have the right to do so. I am married.
You forgot bestiality and pedophilia. If your gonna go down the slippery slope go all the way.Adolphus

I have a lot of homosexuals in the area I live in. Most are coupled off and have kids. They are great neighbors, love their kids etc. I could focus on the sinfulness of their lives or I can reap the benefits of embracing a couple that shares common goals and wants a good life for their kids, like I want for my own. Life is too short and wonderful to focus on the negative. **
Then of course you won’t mind if polygamy is tolerated, and incestuous marriages between parents and children, brothers and sisters, is tolerated.
This principle of tolerating everything was inevitable once abortion was tolerated as legal. Sodomy was then tolerated and even now is encouraged and celebrated with marital rites.
The downward spiral is completely visible to all, but heaven forbid we should think life is too short to focus on the negative … rather, let’s have a screaming good laugh as we slide down the moral ramp into the mouth of Satan.
Tribal? We, meaning all of us, as human beings, need to be taught right from wrong. It’s very simple. We have to figure out how to get along so we can work toward the common goal of the betterment of all people.

Grave sin is yes evil. That still doesn’t make it “evil”…
No they do not have the right to commit grave sin.Well, if you’re claiming that it’s evil to skip Mass, then yeah, they have the right and the ability.
How are they Catholics? They may* call* themselves Catholics, but if they are not in unison with the teachings of The Church, especially on a subject so obviously a part of our faith such as the Church’s long held teaching against abortion, they are not, in fact, Catholics. Identifying oneself with any group, while opposing its very tenets, disproves the self-identification.Would these same Catholics also support legal bank robbing, or legal lynching, or even legal perjury?
