I cannot understand why some LDS people come to this site to bash the way the do.

For the same reason some people come here and pretend to be Catholics converting to Islam or some other religion. They just want to cause trouble and mock Catholics.
Usually these people either run out of energy, lose interest or get themselves banned in fairly short order. However, there are a very few who manage to walk that thin line of not quite hurling strong enough insults to get themselves banned and stay here for a long time.
There will always be those whose motivates are less than charitable.
Still, we must not forget that there are quite a few of non-Catholics who do not come here bash anyone. They genuinely want to learn about the Church and explain their own beliefs. They are generally polite and interesting and I welcome and enjoy their contribution. In this category are people like Zooey, Contarini, HashemEchad, Publisher and many others, these people have earned my respect. (Don’t worry if you don’t see your name, these are just the people that stick in my mind.)

The entire premise and foundation of Mormonism is anti-Catholic.
They cannot justify their religion without “bashing” Catholics like they do.

Is this a joke? Or are you writing this tongue n’ cheek? This site is antimormon to the core. The catholic posters who post about mormonism are basically antimormon. From what I have seen the mormons who come on this site do so to defend their faith against antimormon posts. Thus, why do catholic posters may it a habit to bash mormons? Now, that should be the heading of your thread.

Good point…As far as I am concerned nobody should “bash” anybody else’s beliefs. However, it seems that many here seem to feel that if you disagree witth another’s beliefs you are aoutomatically “bashing” them. Now that is childish - plain and simple.

I agree. We should all lead by example. Insulting/bashing accomplishes nothing. I also think that it is crazy to look to another person for answers when they are not even a member of that church. So many “anti” people are sure that they have the answers to the truth of other’s beliefs…again this is crazy…If I want to know about the Catholic church, I am going to do my own research and talk to CATHOLICS…If I want to know about Mormons, I am going to do my own research and talk to Mormons…If I want to know about Baptists, I am going to do my own research and talk to Baptists etc. etc. etc.
