One example:
Veronica’s vale.
It’s in the movie and one of the 14 stations of the cross. I read some reviews by Protestants of the movie and they are so hard on this part of the movie. Why? It’s not Catholic doctrine. It’s tradition (small t). True, it’s not in the Bible, but that shouldn’t really matter.
The Bible also doesn’t state:
1.) What age people should be baptized
2.) How Christian weddings should be conducted
etc, etc
There’s no need to fret about Veronica’s vale. It’s not doctrine. It’s not part of the Deposit of Faith.
