Why do the Muslim worship the same God as Christians, but not Hindus

What is it unique about Islam that made the Council declare that we worship the same God, but the same was not done for other religions?

I’d have thought it’s because doing so would cause offense to other religions without first getting their full agreement, which isn’t necessary with Islam as it recognizes all Abrahamic religions as worshiping the same God.
