Why do we blame others for our problems?

I was very ignorant about psychotropic medication which actually helps people work, but instead I blame others, even my principal.

I am such an imbical. I wish I could just erase things from the past and move forward.

I think the reason we blame others is because it’s so much easier to do than look at the mirror and blame ourselves for a problem that’s not to say other people can’t contribute to those problems but it is to say that we need to do more to solve them.

You can to some extent do so, through the sacrament of confession and through apologizing to other people. If you can get a firm grip on where you went wrong, then you can work on avoiding the same mistakes, or at least begin to.

We blame others because our eyes look outward in judgment. If they looked inside of us, and judged what they saw, we could not stand the view. As to the past, Jesus said that no one who puts hand to plow (goes to work) and looks back, is fit for the Kingdom of Heaven. Since you can change neither the past nor the future, work on changing your right now.

I agree with all the posts. I’d add that pride allows and causes us to “choose” our truths, to *trump *truth, really, so we can believe what we prefer and act accordingly. The antidote is humility, and we can pray for that along with whatever specific need we have, whatever change we need help in making.
