Doesn’t God already do good things without us?
He’s our good Father and already knows what we need. So, where does praying for others come in?
I always feel like I’m just asking him to do whatever he was already going to do. Which makes me sad, because its asking please help, and hearing not now over again.
I have had prayers answered. And I know all things work for good. And people have free will. And the world is fallen and all goodness we enjoy is by his grace.
I just don’t really understand how asking God for things like curing people of cancer or ending abortion does anything except make me sad most of the time.
And then, do we have a responsibility to pray for every sad thing we see or God wont help? That’s heavy. I’d be making myself sad every minute praying for every sin and fear I encounter. Which sounds really unhealthy to even try.
What am I missing???
