Why do we remain in side chapel till midnight on Maundy Thursday?

Hi, not sure I am doing this right…my son has some homework. Can anyone answer this for me. "why do some people remain in the side chapel with the blessed sacrament until midnight on maundy (holy) thursday. Sorry to sound so thick, but we have come up with a couple of options…not sure which it is tho! thanks.
 
Hi,

Holy Thursday is the anniversary of the institution of the Eucharist. So we have a procession and spend time in adoration of the Sacrament of the Lord’s body and blood and we give thanks for it as we prepare to commemorate His passion. The Eucharist is the sacrament of His passion.
