Why do you hate Islam?

The great force of momentum due to the great mass and velocity of the aircraft could cause the collapse of the buildings. Moreover, the fuel of the aircrafts burnt the building thus causing extreme heat which melted the steel in the building. That made the building very weak. It could then not stand upright on its foundation.
The above is about the Twin Towers collapse on 9/11.

Just an idea.

“It has a formal teacing of Jihad, which Christianity does not have, despite the fact there has been significant violence in Christian history. Islam has a long history of deliberate violence inflicted not only on conquered people, but also on themselves. If that’s the best you can do, why should we think you 've got anything to teach us?”

The pope called up an army for the first Crusade and they promptly marched to Jerusalem under the cross and slaughtered every man, woman, and child in the city. Jews, Muslims, and Christians. That was deliberate violence against conquered people.

Nothing Muslims have ever done comes even close to the carnage Christian Europe inflicted on itself in the first half of the Twentieth Century. That was deliberete violence against themselves.

Sixteenth Century religious wars, Albigensian Crusade, Inquisition?

So, if it is reasonable to ask what Islam has to teach us because of its violent history, is it also reasonable to ask what Christianity has to teach us because of its violent history?
That was after the Moslems had invaded Europe big time. The Christian also regarded Jerusalem as a Holy City, and it had been invaded and conquered by the Moslems long before the Crusades ever started.

If you read the teachings of Christ, there is no call for violence. Until the Church became an official organ of the Roman state, Christians were martyred without retaliation.

However once the Church became institutionalised, there was the matter of state. In the Koran however, there are many references to violences as an instrument of imposing your religion by force.

In other words violence is actively encouraged by the Koran, the very basis of your religion

It is not encouraged by the Bible, the official book of Christianity.

Oh, I’ll admit that we Christians have often blotted our copybook, but if you look at the real causes, they are usually political. World War I was not fought as a result of the Christian faith, but was the result of colonial rivalry, political brinkmanship, a European arms race and plain stupidity.

Even the Reformation was more political than religious. When Reformation princes invaded churches and melted down the gold and put the money into their own treasuries, they didn’t do it because they were good God-fearing men, but because more often than not they were egotistical mongrels eager to expand their own territoritories and needed arms and money to do so.

The second World War was almost entirely irreligious with Anglican Britain, Protestant USA, Confucian China, and an atheist Soviet Union, and their allies, arrayed against Lutheran Germany, Catholic Italy, and Shinto Japan, with volunteers from Moslem Algeria and Hindu India, fighting over areas ranging from Orthodox Eastern Europe to Animist South Pacific and Moslem Indonesia.

One thing the human race is good at - eternally killing each other, whether the justification is political, religious or economic. We haven’t learnt much in the last 2000 years except how to make a bigger mess.

This thread has degraded to the usual exchange of salvos, “Islam killed lots of people” – “But Christians killed more.” Even if we had an accurate body count, people would disagree with it. So what distinguishes Islam from other religions [and I use the term **very loosely]?
…Of course, Muslims (like Christians, Jews, and members of any religion) often fail to understand or live up to the standards of their faith. But what distinguishes Islam from other religions is that when it is correctly understood and practiced, Islam actively seeks the subjugation or destruction of everything that is not itself. Non-Islamic religions may seek the conversion or evangelization of others, and their devotees may employ force against others from time to time. But Islam is the only religion [sic] whose basic animating principles pit it against the rest of the world, ensuring that war is the natural and obligatory state of affairs. [Emphasis added.]

is islam relegion of peace ?
the question is differ than
will nonmuslims find peace in hearafter from God ?

your link mostly concerned with verses which talking about the fate of nonmuslims in hearafter

nice try anyway 👍
Elwill,
most of us on this forum are non-muslims. If the Koran is correct we are all damned. You won’t get too many “amens” that way from this crowd. Sounds like Islam is a religion of “death to everyone but Muslims” to me.

I think we should first determine by some objective standard whether that which is being judged is in fact what it claims to be.
Note it is current day followers who make those claims. Is the current pope a good enough reference?

So, the Muslims invade and conquer Spanish territory in 711. And that’s why the pope’s army went into Jerusalem and slaughtered all the Christians, Jews, and Muslims 400 years later? Men, women, and children?

Good post. Which is why I say I don’t trust Islam. Islam is always ready to protest when it sees opposition, but doesn’t say much about the immense cruelty and violence it has itself deployed in the historical past.

It also has a tendency to blame others for its own failings. It’s Israel’s fault, or the West’s fault, or the Pope’s fault - it’s always somebody else.
