No one is forcing you to go to a for profit isurance company. you can always go to a not for profit provider or self insure. wait never mind Obama took that right away from us.
It is impossible for any man to take a right away from another man… that’s the whole purpose of rights. They are
inalienable!!!
Nobody took away your right to own a gun… you gave it up when you didn’t read the paperwork and consented to turning your right to own a gun into a privilege, administered by your “leaders”.
Nobody took away your common law right to travel in a car… you gave it up when you didn’t read the paperwork and consented to turning that right into a privilege, administered by your “leaders”.
Now would be the time to read Noam Chomsky’s
Manufacturing Consent to realize that the government has tricked you into believing you must do these things.
Our government understands that you can’t take away a man’s right to life… but you sure can keep him alive in debt. That’s just what people like you want. You want everybody to be in so much debt, that the Federal Reserve owns every bit of property that our Fathers fought for.
You’ll get what you want, alright.
By the way with cash for clunkers, the government wasted over half of the money.
Universal health insurance is not universal, it is simply a way to give low quality insurance to all while only making a discriminated against group pick up the bill for everyone. in other words forced servitude.
I never said that Obamacare was universal, did I? I said that we should have universal health insurance… because THAT would be constitutional.
Cash for Clunkers is unconstitutional, because it’s NOT general welfare, which is permitted by the Constitution.
But, basically, I’m for Obamacare,
only because it’s the only way to reach universal health insurance. If Obama outlawed the criminal health insurance companies right away… he would be shot immediately.
I guess you have never worked with the government if you think they won’t send people in to second guess doctors. they will come in after the fact and deny payments to doctors after the fact but will not make a ruling before hand. Therefore they doctor could never tell a patient the government won’t pay for a procedure, instead the doctor will have to take all of the risk.
You’re a loon.
You really think that a doctor is going to second guess whether a man is having a heart attack or not? … and ask for the government to come intervene??
You really think that a doctor is going to second guess a ruptured appendix? … and ask for the government to come intervene??
What is it that you think proponents of universal health insurance are really trying to accomplish?? Mandated cosmetic surgery??!?!??
If you actually think that 100% of the money that goes into the government comes back, then there isn’t anything I can say that will change your mind. And if you think insurance is expensive now, under your plan nothing would be denied, everything would be OK’d and I can’t even imagine what the cost would be then.
Well… I don’t know about NOTHING being denied, but it the government wouldn’t be dying anything. That would have to rest on the hospital or doctor performing the operation. Say, abortion or cosmetic surgery… these are obviously things that you don’t have a right to. But medicine for asthmatics, diabetics… emergency care for someone who needs an appendectomy, who has a heart attack, who catches strep throat and needs antibiotics, etcetera. These are people who deserve such general health that either the states or the federalies could, most definitely, provide without having to advertise, pay people to deny people with pre-existing conditions [including paying customers].
Proponents of leaving health insurance the way it is ALWAYS scream, “But we have NO CHOICE!!” I have never met someone who had a choice in being born with asthma or diabetes. I have never met someone who had a choice in the doctor that they see after their appendix is about to rupture, or their heart has stopped…
There is no choice in these matters.
Please tell me where this 70% comes from by the way.
It comes from competing corporations advertising, paying for employees to deny coverage from people who are willing to pay, or even have been paying. It comes from these corporations needing to make a profit so that their stocks will continue to rise. It comes from health insurance senior management each making MILLIONS of dollars per person.
The statistic was that, ON AVERAGE, each health insurance company loses anywhere from 25-30% of the funds they are handed… which doesn’t sound unreasonable to me, considering that they have to pay the power bills, phone lines, [massive] salaries, advertising, public relations, marketing in general, etcetera, AND STILL TURN A PROFIT!! Supposedly Michigan only loses about 10% of their funds, BECAUSE the government has already intervened in that state.
