you’re saying that, assuming people like Hitler never repented of their publicly-displayed grievously sinful life, that his punishment (wages) for his sins is physical death, not spiritual?? Is that how I understand you? That he is among all the others that, as you put it, “did not have a choice in the eradication of the death sentence, but were subjected in hope to life”? And so Hitler, like it or not, is among the universally saved because he, like everyone else, has no choice in the matter? And you use Jesus’ phyically “short-lived” 33 years on earth as proof-text for this theory?>>>SteveGC
I want to give you one scripture: Rom 8:20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, This verse paints the picture of the first creation, the flesh and the fall and the second creation, spiritual life.
The bible paints the picture of the creation of Adam and Eve and gives the reason for the fall.
The fall was due to the acquisition of knowledge of good and evil.
Because if you read you will see that ingesting of the fruit of knowledge (tree), we become as gods, as individuals separate from God, meaning death.
Ref: Gen 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Here we have the serpent speaking, as the world speaks, deceiving us to become selfish, lustful and disobedient towards God.
In fact, we are in Gods image, as gods, able to have a will and make choices.
Tell me, what part of that had we a hand in? Were we not subjected to it without our permission? Where we not deceived?
How then can we, once born into this dammed (Lost) condition of our own efforts change it? None what’s so ever right?
But what if God decided that He would save His own creation, wouldn’t He have the power to effect a change?
The second part of that verse paints a picture of that hope that is granted, given as a gift, free and which all are subjected to.
That gives answer to all those souls who lived and died thousands of years prior to Jesus’ coming as to the state of their souls, not having the opportunity to know Jesus as we do today.
Which when we say, “you must believe in Jesus to be saved”, eliminates all those who never had the opportunity to know Jesus as we do. Is that not the same attitude today?
You think that only we, from Jesus this way, from the cross to today, are the only ones who have/had the opportunity to know Him?
Jesus did visit them in the pit and liberated them as well, only fitting in being consistent with the verse above.
Now, Hitler soul as well as any other soul, Jesus purchased.
Their evil actions, behavior was to their own demise and paid for it by their loss of blessings and being cursed to die early.
Pro 3:2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
As for Jesus’ short life: Mat 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
Jesus was blameless, pure and righteous as God is, yet while in the flesh, but when He took on the sins of the world as God’s sacrificial lamb, Jesus was found with iniquity.
Eze 28:15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
If the righteous amongst all of us is inefficient to save our souls what would be the hope of them that are not, save Jesus.
Now we can see that the righteous nor the unrighteous are at any advantage, but only Jesus, is who is responsible for our souls.
Rev 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
