Why do you think some people are called to the Catholic Church?

I echo the thought that few are called because they refuse to do the research. Listening to so many conversion stories, one thing I have noticed is that many people who have become Catholic do so because they started doing research. The Journey Home show on EWTN has so many examples of this.

I used to attend a non denominational too years ago and they did communion every week! But then I went back later and they were not doing it weekly

Yes I agree. I once watched an episode of a priest that worked on the set of the Passion of the Christ film. He was a convert and I think took a trip or studied abroad to Italy (I think) and he fell in love with the Catholic art and historical places. He said it opened his heart to Catholicism while his fellow class mates or friends did not have that same change of heart. That’s a great show.

Another answer is whether one should be thinking of joining a church started by a human instead of the God of the Universe who is the ultimate Good and the ultimate authority ? Which one would be best for you? Do we trust in humans and their infallible beliefs, opinions and distorted inclinations or do we go with the God who redeemed us by His salvific act of love and sacrifice for our benefit ? The One who died for us started a Church to show us the way and give us THE truth when so many have their relative truths. Who would you trust ?
