Why does a priest receive Communion while acting in the Person of Christ?

Why does a priest receive communion while acting in the person of Christ?

It’s a silly question, but I like to contemplate the meaning of our Doctrines in relation to the Mass. I suspect the answer is simply a dual role (both Priest and in Persona Christi), but I was hoping that 2000 years of people smarter than me might have addressed this in a more satisfying way.

When a priest receives the Lord in Holy Communion, he is not ministering in the Person of Christ at that moment; he is allowing Christ to minister to him as do all other Catholics when they receive Him in the Eucharist.
