Hi ! I can’t find the appropriate forum to put this under…but does anyone know the answer? Thanks and God bless! 😃

Suffering is part of the human condition…the fallen human condition.

God NEVER wished suffering on us…when Man fell from grace in the garden of eden, we wounded and disfigured Gods initial design. Intially, God gave us His friendship…made us Lord over a universe made specifically pleasing to us! We had it all…and yet we chose to mistrust, to try to become Gods without God and we allowed the venom of sin to warp and twist us…thereby allowing pain into our futures.

God PERMITS it because He’s attempting to redeem our fallen natures (He always permits bad to bring about a greater good). We have to endure pain because it’s a part of the fallen human condition…but God can bring good out of our mistake and our crosses.

Enduring pain out of love can bring about life, good example to others, healing, and sanctity!

God bless

I won’t post too much since the previous poster covered it pretty well. We must always offer our suffering up to our Lord as he did for us. I recommend reading the Book of Job in the bible, it helps you understand suffering pretty well.

Our nature brings suffering…our very nature,is one of limits.

God can bring great things out of our suffering, if we ask Him.

I heard a priest on Catholic Radio explain it quite well: If you are going through suffering or some other hardship, don’t waste it. Use it to get closer to God.

When I was quite ill a few years ago, that’s what happened. I called out to God and He heard me. He sent me a priest who gave me the Anointing of the Sick and heard my Confession.

There is suffering because the appointed Time of Jesus Christ to return as King of kings and Lord of lords has not happened yet.

(but we is close)

Emotional and even physical suffering is ultimately due to separation from God. He wants us to learn of our absolute need for Him in order to have unending peace, happiness, satisfaction. Man is born turned away from God: Adam’s choice. God wants us to see the error in that choice, without forcing us, so we’ll freely turn back to Him.
