Why does God give me so much testing?

One of the colleagues often bullied and oppressed me a few months ago, I then complained to his boss about him. But she just warned him and not punishing him. But then I was taken away from my old team suddenly, and changed to another team and started new tasks without noticing me. That evil person still remained in his position and all things are right on him.

I don’t understand why the evil one not having punishment and all things happened are good on the evil ones. But I deserve the bad things? I don’t like the environment now, and don’t know how others view on me. I am very sad at work now. I wanted to quit my job but scared I cannot find a better job. And financial is important for me and my mother (my father passed away last year and we are undergoing financial problem so I need job).

I don’t understand why bad things happen on good person, and good things happened on evil persons who do not have punishment. I loved God very much a while ago. But God gave me many testings. And I am now very saddened by this world and hate many people. This world and people are so cruel. I am also losing hope on God.

I have a similar feeling as Jesus to God when Jesus on the cross asking “Why have you forsaken me?”

Please also pray for me if anyone can. Thanks.

Don’t let trials discourage you. Trials and sufferings come upon all, the good and the evil as well. They are for our sanctification, to increase our faith and our patience - and our trust.

“If you wish to have an idea of the love with which He loves man, see with what love God loves Mary.” - Fr. Paul of Moll

The sufferings you bear for the love of God are a precious token of your love for Him. Remember that the more God asks of a soul, the more He desires to give it, for we cannot give what we do not possess, and without God we are and can do absolutely nothing. That is a very humbling and consoling dogma/truth when you think about it!

Jesus one day said to St. Mechtilde: ‘He who offers Me a humble, patient and charitable heart will make Me a wholly pleasing gift.’ Sr. Mechtilde asked: ‘And which is the heart that is humble enough to please you thus?’ He said: ‘The man who is happy to be despised, the man who rejoices at all pain and trials, who is glad to be able to add something in union with My Passion and My humiliations and to have something to sacrifice to Me, that man is patient and humble of heart. In the same way, the man who rejoices at his brothers’ benefit and sorrows at their misfortune as if for his own, that man offers Me a really charitable heart.’ (p. 398, Vol. 1)

Jesus to St. Rose of Lima: ‘All My disciples must learn that affliction always accompanies grace; grace is in proportion to suffering. The number of My gifts grows with the number of trials. They must no longer be deluded as to the meaning of pain; trial is the path to perfection; by it they attain beauty of soul and the summit of grace, and the glory of the Children of God. The Cross is the true and only ladder to reach Heaven. Without the Cross this ascent is impossible.’

There is a great deal of consolation to be found in devotion to Our Lady of Sorrows. You might consider praying 7 Hail Marys a day, whilst meditating on her sorrows:

God bless.

Our Lord chastises those he loves. You are being treated the way God treats his closest friends. People who are very bad may receive rewards in this life for the little good they do, but they will not be rewarded in the afterlife with heaven. If God did not love you, he would not be giving you such testing. He wants you to prove your love for him and your faithfulness, and he wants you to gain merit for heaven – this is why you are being tested. But you say you are hating people, etc., which is not good! Please pray your rosary to the Blessed Virgin Mary every day and ask her to help you to be charitable, prayerful and faithful to God. God bless you.
