Why does God grant a reprieve from the punishments of Hell but not of Purgatory?

If a sinner repents of his sins before he dies, God spares him the punishments of Hell. But generally, God does NOT spare the sinner punishments for those sins in this life or in Purgatory. Why the difference? Why give a reprieve for the punishments of Hell but not the other punishments? Is God stingy with His forgiveness? Does He have some need for vengence that he has to take care in some manner? If someone is truly sorry for his sins, why not give that sinner a complete pardon for all his sins, including the temporary punishment applied in Purgatory and on earth? This all makes no logical sense to me.

But you can lessen the punishments you have brought on yourself through your sins!
The priest in Confession gives you Penance to do or say, which you must do sincerely, and that lessens the punishments of Purgatory for a start!
But that is not the only means of lessening the punishments you put on yourself that require Purgatory. You do know about indulgences?..and that acts of charity to others, good deeds, offering the trials of your life, and so on, all can lessen the time in Purgatory!

WE choose to sin so deserve the punishment we bring on ourselves. It is up to us to have the wisdom and integrity to do something about that in our lives. If I don’t there is only me to blame. But the means are there.
If you were dying, you could offer the sufferings of the dying process to mitigate the time in Purgatory, right up to your death.

The punishments of Hell and Purgatory are completely different.
If you go to purgatory it is for purification or do you think that the impure should be allowed into Heaven.

Frankly, when I die if I find myself in Purgatory I will be happy no matter how long I spend there because I know my next destination is Heaven.

How do you know God doesn’t grant a reprieve from purgatory? Did you ever pray for it? Do you pray for the souls in purgatory?
God most certainly does grant reprieves from purgatory. You ever heard of Divine Mercy Sunday?

Well, that is what a plenary indulgence is - a complete remission of the temporal consequences of your sins

And the promises attached to the Feast of the Divine Mercy also sound very much like a ‘complete reprieve’ can be obtained then as well.
