Who are living a “blessed” life? No one.
I am!
Totally and fully blessed and constantly giving thanks to God.

I have food, clothing, a roof over my head, and a few folk who care for me. and I have my Lord at my side and in my heart…

Skills I can use even in old age and serious illness that will feed babies… A heart full of love for God and His creation…

A secret; we are all blessed. Just some do not see it

Beautiful 🙂 For me i see all same for everyone, the blessed one and not blessed one, we all are same as one. I see everyone suffer in one way or other everyday whether they have food, clothing and a roof over their heads or not. , i will give you an example, few weeks ago there was a big fire swept through the canyon and burned 105 houses down included their livestocks ( lucky no one died in that fast moving fire since God was with them) my heart goes to them because they lost their homes and painful lessons for them all. They are basically homeless. No one escape adversity. St Mother Teresa went through her own adversity, from what they said her words, the absent of God in her heart. I feel for her. Jesus told me yesterday am, I must face all those adversity. I have no problem with this i am still gong through this adversity everyday all of my life ( i knew God was with me on this difficult road, without Him I would be dead, yes i have notice I have been protect from so many close call near fatal accidents and gravely illness) . His purpose for me here is to keep me alive among you to this day. Jesus already won for me but I am still learning. 😉 Peace 🙂

Some people are living “blessed lives” that seem relatively free of hardship and are very carefree always going on holidays and instagraming their holidays one beautiful place after another and different bikinis for each day of the week, full of relaxing and happiness etc…

Although,as Rosebud said,it is probably what my definition of “blessed” that is the issue.

The Lord gives and the Lord takes away … it is His right to do so … only He knows why … and to Him do I pray in my own illness … only He knows the right direction for my soul.

I don’t know, Rosebud77. I am not normally one for lying on beaches and I’m certainly way too fat for a bikini, but this is one of those days that I would give my eye teeth for some rest.

Once way back, I made the comment , " I could do with three months off work to catch up with all my knitting and sewing…"

My lifelong illness followed swiftly so be very careful what you wish for… 😉

And please bear with an old wan who is not out there working etc as so many here are and know my sincere prayers for all of you… from my bed to God;s heart…

Your prayers are a precious gift. It’s funny but after I posted this yesterday and went home, I became very drowsy about 9:00pm, which is unusual for me. I went to bed about 9:30pm and slept beautifully, which was a beautiful gift from God. Thank you for your prayers. Any good sleep like that is precious to me as a full time worker and a full time caregiver of my husband.

Thank you again for your lovely prayers!

:blessyou:

There is a Bible verse that says God gives sleep to those He loves.

Psalm 127:2

Ah that is good o hear. Strangely I slept well last night too with a minimum of pain relief, nine hours which is unheard of for me,

  1. When the same Abba Anthony thought about the depth of the
judgements of God, he asked, ‘Lord, how is it that some die when
they are young, while others drag on to extreme old age? Why are
there those who are poor and those who are rich? Why do wicked
men prosper and why are the just in need?’ He heard a voice
answering him, ‘Anthony, keep your attention on yourself; these
things are according to the judgement of God, and it is not to your
advantage to know anything about them.’
