Why does rehab fail?

This is very true. I would put the success rate of 30 day programs with no aftercare at near zero. Those who achieve long term sobriety after attending such programs with no follow up are either bona fide miracles, people who wound up there initially by true mistake (exceedingly rare, but can be due to overreacting parents), or those without an actual addiction problem but are there to satisfy a court imposed requirement.
 
Right. And I should amend my post to refer to 30 days or 90 days impatient. I get that some people don’t think they can do (name removed by moderator)atient or just don’t want to do (name removed by moderator)atient but outpatient treatment is a waste of time.
