This is just something I wonder about. Does satan seek to get people to lose their souls because he is jealous of men, to fight against God, or because he feels he has some other thing to gain from this?
The only reason he does it is to get at God. In his power struggle against God, he has no real power of his own. God really loves us, so destroying us for eternity is pretty much the only thing the devil’s able to do. The sad thing is that there are people who play by the same play book, parents in a divorce who will hurt the children just to get at their estranged spouse.
I had read he hates us. He hates us partially out of jealously as we are to replace him, and the fallen angels, in heaven. He probably also just would like to destroy us as the above poster said – because we are God’s creation.
