This is my first message I hope you can help me with this :
My husband is Catholic and he has the Catholic Bible but he could not answer this question I have been reading it and I have a question. I have noticed that there are several extra books in the the Catholic Bible that are not in the traditional bible. Were those extra books always in the bible? and were they removed later? and if so why? I feel in my heart that I need to become Catholic but I have several questions first. Everything that I read and study always has me coming back to learn more about the Catholic faith. Also I have read that the Apostle Peter founded the Catholic church and that it is the church that Jesus told Peter that he was the rock that he was to build his church upon. is that correct?
Thank You for your help
