I think most people that hate the Pope, do so because they see hypocrisy, that even with as a Catholic I can’t deny is there.
Does the Vatican always practice what they preach? No, but who does. I wish that some people could take a step back and realize that we all make mistakes including those that are within the Church, but the Church itself does not condone the sins and actions that supposedly holy people committing.

“Don’t leave Peter because of Jesus.”

Consider: He is the leader of a millennia-old religious movement, and the leader of a small nation as well as the spiritual leader of millions, and many more look to him for his views on social issues, politics, and the world at large.

While the Left Wing and Progressive movement in America favor some of his views - the need for social justice for the destitute, the call to assist the dispossessed and refugees and to end racial and ethnic hatred - they will never come to terms with many of his most deeply-held beliefs and pronouncements.

Both he and his predecessors stand firm in their resistance to Communism as demeaning to the dignity of the human spirit…
My own perception is that BXVI is far to the left of the American left wing and progressives, as is Jesus.

The American left is a bit right-wing on things like abortion (their call for laissez faire liberty on it). It’s also weird (but good) that the so called conservatives, who you’d expect to stand up for rights & skip duties/responsibilities (esp for the least of our brothers, the fetuses) are to the left on these issues, calling for laws, rules & regs.

The best idea would be to stand completely on the left with BXVI & Jesus, instead of this insidious mixing of right-wing values into both the currently progressive and conservative agenda.

The left does call for laws, rules and regs on abortion, only it’s laws to force everyone to participate in it.

Because the Left is all about Original Sin, which is man, not God, making the rules.

It is important to remember who satan fears and hates the most. He is always whispering in our ears trying to tempt us and lead us astray, to hate those we should love, and love those who will lead us away from God. Obviously his efforts attempt to separate us from Christ’s one true Church, its eartly leader the Pope, and from God Himself is his goal. Any movement and support of the Dali Lahma and Budism is working according to his game plan.

May Mother Mary lead us through life and choose each of us as a special servant in her royal army, Doing whatever God wants of us and doing it to the best of our ability.

The left hates the pope because the pope leads the only institution standing in their way. The left is all about furthering abortion rights and the gay agenda; whereas the Catholic Church stands firm, teaching that both abortion and homosexual acts are sinful, evil acts.
The Left simply hates anyone who disagrees with the Left.
Because he is a symbol of monarchy,

conservativism,

and true Catholicism.

Three strikes, he’s out.
These all basically get at the heart of the matter.

Think for a moment about what the left stands for. “Freedom,” i.e., hatred of duty and authority. “Equality,” i.e., contempt for patriarchy (and also authority).

The office of the Pope is patriarchal, monarchical, exclusively male (hence “sexist”), and symbolizes the principles of duty, authority, subjection to the will of God, and glorification of the order of being. All of these the left is opposed to in principle – in opposition to which the left got its start!

WHY THE LEFT HATES THE POPE

This is perhaps best answered through a brief familiarity with the history of the Left. Communism emerged from the 1789 French Revolution and its “civil rights” which continues today (“civil rights” and “human rights” for abortion, euthanasia, homosexuality, samesex marriage, much more). At that time, the Left were out to de-Christianize France as they are the world today. Jewish historian Jules Isaacs published this was a great victory for the Jewish Left (not representing all Jews and representing, in particular, khazar Jews).

But let’s go back further. Beginning 1732, for the next 200 years, every Pope would condemn Judeo-Freemasonry. Again, this did not represent all Jews, just some. A very good book on this by a very scholarly non-liberal Jesuit is Freemasonry and the Anti-Christian Movement by Rev. E. Cahill, S.J. This and other authoritative books demonstrate how the Left and true Catholicism are irreconcilable.

Karl Marx was a Jew. Trotsky whose real name was Bronstein was a Jew. And on it goes. I won’t belabor the Jewish point, but let it suffice to say there are many books by liberal Jewish authors boasting of Jewish socialist and communist founders. The brilliant author Father Denis Fahey in his Mystical Body of Christ titles does a minutely sagacious and documented treatment of this. Hillaire Belloc also addressed the subject of these revolutionaries.

None of these Catholic authors were anti-Jewish but anti-communist. Many Catholic Jews and secular Jews supported them and opposed the Marxist Jews.

In his encyclical Rerum Novarum, known as the Magna Carta for the working man, Pope Leo XIII set forth the Catholic and Christian view of Social Justice. That is, class cooperation instead of class struggle and hatred which the Marxist Left endlessly promotes. The pilot project of Rerum Novarum worked very well in Austria… till the socialists came in and destroyed it! A few years later, Pope Pius XI reiterated Rerum Novarum in his encyclical, Quadragesimo Anno, again emphasizing class cooperation, and not class struggle and class hatred, was the answer. The FDR New Deal liberals fought this tirelessly with atheist socialism and its liberal helpers (including Methodists, Unitarians and a small minority of liberal Catholics, an oxymoron as liberalism is sin).

Now, Judeo-Freemasonry designed modernism to be specifically anti-Christian! This is documented in Father Cahill’s book. Historically, Freemasonry and Marxism work very well together to de-Christianize society. Pius X and his 65 points against modernism were right on! But eventually liberal infiltration overcame his views.

There’s so much more to be written! Let it suffice to say that Catholicism’s greatest champion ever against the Left and for Truth - Father Coughlin who was never, never, anti-semitic but endlessly maligned by the liberal leftist controlled press - explains this further with many FREE book and audio downloads at FatherCoughlin.com.

Why Does the Left Hate the Pope?

Because the Left is of the world and the world is the playground of Satan. Satan will fight against God and His Holy Catholic Church until the end of the world. Anything that is standing against the Catholic Church is by default standing along side the Gates of Hell.

Stereotypes galore!

This thread has been a fascinating read. I can’t believe the ignorance and prejudice expressed by many of the posters.

So in other words, the answer to the question "Why does the Left hate the Pope is “the Jews”?

I agree. The teachings of the Catholic Church as so very clear. Yet through its own ignorance and its own prejudice the Left continues to hate the Catholic Church.

There is more to it than ignorance and prejudice. “The time is sure to come when people will not accept sound teaching, but their ears will be itching for anything new, and they will collect themselves a whole series of teachers according to their own tastes; and then they will shut their ears to the truth and will turn to myths.” – 2 Timothy, 4:3-4

I always have trouble fitting myself into this whole left right thing, anyone else have that problem?

lol I don’t think it depicted me very well, but then again I do question authority 😉
There was once a man who had a bumper sticker that read, “Challenge Authority”. He became shocked, shocked I tell you when his kid challenged his authority. :sad_yes:
