Why doesn’t Pope walk on water or heal the sick?

I was asking how you could have the specific knowledge contained in the sentence I quoted. i.e. God doesn’t permit a miracle to happen in the circumstances you stated.

It’s a logical conclusion of the teaching that God decides when miracles occur.

Many people pray for a miracle, for example when a loved one is terminally ill. Some do get a miracle cure, many don’t.
For those who don’t, it’s not that their prayer wasn’t done right or any of that, it’s that God said no.

You aren’t addressing the knowledge claim you made in the sentence I quoted. Nevertheless I will let this be. Thank you for your response.
