It would seem to me that it is possible that homosexuals could be born that way. It is the homosexually life style that is wrong. Why won’t the church say yes or no as to whether they can be born that way.
The Church doesn’t give an answer because the question is not a theological one. Questions of psychology and biology are the realm of psychologists and biologists, not theologians. The Church has no desire to step into areas of science that have no impact on her teachings. Whether homosexual attraction is developed over time or is part of a biological hard wiring is irrelevant to the teaching of the Church on the matter.
