This picture from an ancient manuscript shows part of the rite of installation for a Primate… 😜😜😜

The primatial see of the United States is Baltimore.
To be precise… the Archdiocese of Baltimore is the “Premier See” of the United States

Unlike the Archdiocese of Quebec City, which is the “Primatial See” of Canada

The United States does not have a “Primatial See,” we have a “Premier See”

On another note…while the US technically doesn’t have a primate, you could argue that Lebanon has three! (Three headed monster?! But in a good way ;)). Three of the six Eastern Catholic Patriarchs have their seats in Lebanon (Maronite Catholic, Syriac Catholic, and Armenian Catholic)…and Eastern Patriarchs are true primates in that they exercise true jurisdiction over the entire regional Church.
