Why don't we follow Mosaic law?

As Christians, we are obliged to follow the Ten Commandments, however, we are not bound by the rest of the laws laid out in the OT. Jesus says in Matthew 5:17-20 that he did not come to abolish the law, yet we do not follow these laws. How do I reconcile these things?
