** BUT again there is a 1400 violent religion with over 2 billion believers which says otherwise…**

This formula statement seems to comfort you, though I don’t understand why.

Huh? The Big Bang has no spatial origin, it happened everywhere; (effectively) everything is moving away from everything else at the same increasing rate!

To the OP: you can find many crosses in the night sky, if you require only 4 stars. See the Southern Cross, for example. The question is really: will be people choose to believe such an image?

Since God gives us free will, I would think that any sign He gives would not be believed by all.
In the 1960’s 2 American scientists won the Nobel Prize for discovering the spatial origin of the Big Bang…when they discovered low frequency radio waves coming from residual background radiation in a PARTICULAR AREA of space not too far from where we are now.

You second point is well taken…people believe as they will believe…therefore Jesus taught the crowds in parables and creation is laid out like a giant parable.

Who needs evidence when you have confirmation bias, amiright?
For me what I wrote is a wonderful thing because that realization is what led me to believe in God and ultimately to the Catholic Faith. When I first realized that, there was no confirmation bias about it: I was a practical atheist. So for me it was not a confirmation bias but the opposite: a revelation of something previously less than unknown to me.

It was in fact a sign, just as the OP wondered about.

😦 It does not but unfortunately all my family, my tribe, and my country believe in it.
I can see that you are placed in a difficult situation. What I wonder is… do you think that the fact that there are many who believe in Islam in any way makes Islam true? Or are you referring to the difficulties many Moslems face in converting or even seeing the truth?

Your version of history is inconsistent with truth. Here is the list of American Nobel laureates in Physics in the 1960’s:
  • 1960 - Don Glaser for the invention of the bubble chamber
  • 1961 - Robert Hofstadter for determining the structure of the nucleon
  • 1963 - Eugene Wigner for his contributions to the theory of atomic nucleus
  • 1963 - Maria Goeppert-Mayer for her discovery of the nuclear shell strucutre
  • 1964 - Charles Townes for his work in quantum electronics
  • 1965 - Julian Schwinger and Richard Feynman for the discovery of quantum electrodynamics
  • 1967 - Hans Bethe for his contributions to nucleosynthesis
  • 1968 - Luis Alvarez for his contributions to particle physics
  • 1969 - Murray Gell-Mann for his contributions to classifying elementary particles
No one won it for the Big Bang in the 60’s. Perhaps you were thinking of Penzias and Wilson who won it in '78 for their discovery of the cosmic microwave background in 1964? If so, this experiment confirms quite the opposite of your understanding: the big bang occurred everywhere, as the radiation is isotropic (everywhere the same).

The sky is an amazing awe inspiring sign in itself!

Go somewhere dark and look at the sky, then actually see it, then realise you are looking down a tunnel of billions of stars, then realise you are only seeing a fraction of them all.

If creation of that isn’t a sign that reflects the power and wonder of our God, I don’t know what is!

Why GOD doesn’t put a sign in the sky showing His true path!, for example, instead of the moon each night we see, he would put starts in a cross order or simply the name of the religion understood by any human on earth.

I think that will end all the disputes between all religions on earth, and it will be a compelling reason to judge people on the judgment day.

Thoughts?
I think that God chooses different ways by which to make Himself obvious to individuals. One way is by His creation: “The heavens shew forth the glory of God, and the firmament declareth the work of his hands” (Psalms 119:1); and another way is by His redemptive work in Jesus on the cross: "That he might make known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure, which he hath purposed in him (Ephesians 1:9). God is a Spirit and consequently does not have to advertise Himself on a billboard like a fast-food restaurant, for example.

Consider the angels that had to be cast out of heaven itself. There is nothing that a determined will cannot reject.

Which formula are you referring to ? Why don’t you try reading the Bible and start from there. Linus2nd

The first part, people are born in the Islamic countries and becoming Muslims by “inheritance”, if there was even a single hint in the sky pointing to Christianity, I think the whole religions demography would be changed.

I think some of you misunderstood me! 😊

The sign in the sky to points to GOD’s religion/path NOT to point to the existence of GOD.

Almost all religions acknowledge that there is GOD, but all of them contradict each others in the way to GOD…

Yes, let’s look at that. You certainly recognize some of the great men in history. For example what made Abraham, Moses, Christ, Confusius, Buddha great or what made their greatness possible? They got into their own boat and set out into the deep. They broke away from the crowd, from their own people to find a more perfect way. And each achieved his own specific goal and inspired millions and billions to do the same. Why not consider doing what these men did. And of course I would encourage you to follow Christ as the ideal counter cultural man who achieved the ultimate goal of all humanity ( in my opinion). Wouldn’t hurt you to quietly look into that. I think that most of us were responding to the original poster’s question about a sign indicating that God exists.

And this is even mentioned in the Bible, in Romans, that people can, by considering creation, see that a Designer must exist.

We also see this in history, as Aristotle thought through to the existence on 1 God, and some of His atteibutes.

However, God leaves a lot up to us. He wants us to search for Him–He does not serve Himself on a silver platter (by which I mean He does not make make Himself blatantly obvious, giving Himself to us too easily).

We do not see the signs of the existence of God as also showing the way to God–for this purpose, God sent His Son. Christ Himself said that *He *is the way (and the truth and the life).

Yes, it is true that people are born into Islam, and it can be difficult for them to find the Truth. And once they find the Truth, it is hard for them to follow… those who convert must have a very great deal of faith, which God gives them and they accept.

See that was the point, if we had a sign, then non of those obstacles to overcome.

It takes a lot of courage. Your first obligation is to save your own soul. Do that and you may also save theirs. Remember St. Monica who prayed for her son Augustine for 20 years. In the end he became the Bishop of Hippo and one of the Church’s greatest Saints. So listen to the Lord and cast your net into the deep. Linus2nd

Excellent observation 👍, that indicates how effective it was, so why He doesn’t put a permanent one for all generations on this earth to led them to the right religion?
He didnt put a sign in the sky, but he put one on the ground called the Catholic Church.

Only athiests would say if God gave them a sign then they would believe…no they wouldn’t…because God has already revealed himself to us…and we believe…and athiests still don’t.

There are plenty of signs, but humans ignore them.
“Now there was a rich man, and he habitually dressed in purple and fine linen, joyously living in splendor every day. And a poor man named Lazarus was laid at his gate, covered with sores, and longing to be fed with the crumbs which were falling from the rich man’s table; besides, even the dogs were coming and licking his sores. Now the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s bosom; and the rich man also died and was buried. In Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried out and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this flame.’ But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that during your life you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus bad things; but now he is being comforted here, and you are in agony. And besides all this, between us and you there is a great chasm fixed, so that those who wish to come over from here to you will not be able, and that none may cross over from there to us.’ And he said, ‘Then I beg you, father, that you send him to my father’s house— for I have five brothers—in order that he may warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’ But Abraham said, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.’ But he said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent!’ But he said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.’
