Why has the church not contacted me?

I didn’t see this post if you are only trying to contact the RICA person then that might be your problem. You need to call the parish office.

Just a nitpick - it’s “RCIA,” (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) not “RICA”.

I agree - the best person to call is the Church secretary - she is the one person who knows how to get hold of people, and who the right person is, to get hold of.

I am interested in joing the church, and getting information about RCIA and the procedure. I have called the church and emailed and have had no response. Is this just not the time for inquiry on new membership? Or are they just not looking for new members?

Please don’t make any judgments about the parish or the RCIA based on not getting a return phone call. The clerical staff may have been having a bad day and misplaced the phone messages - Call again, and again. Approach the priest after Mass to introduce yourself.

I see, that I did twice too. I have dyslexia and If I don’t watch it, things come out all whacky. I guess I was in too much of a hurry.

Hey, I transpose letters and numbers all of the time and I don’t even have dyslexia. No big deal.
