Why have only Catholics taken away the "do not make false idols" part of the 10 Commandments?

A friend and I were having a discussion about religion, and he brought up that Catholics have taken away the “do not make false idols” part of the 10 Commandments. I looked on Wikipedia, realizing that the site may not be accurate, but found this…en.wikipedia.org/wiki/10_commandments
The information in question is located in the table that breaks down the commandments by religion/denomination.
If this is correct information, why have Catholic leaders done this?
