Why Have You forsaken Me

I agree with Post #7

and others.

I think that one reason Jesus felt forsaken by God was because He was predestined to know - in every way - how we humans feel, or could possibly feel, in our circumstances, carrying our crosses, throughout our journey of life.

I don’t know about anyone else, but i have often felt this feeling of being abandoned by God.

Jesus is the only one who can take this feeling from us - because He knows that - and all our feelings/thoughts.

thanks.

it bonds us to Christ to know first-hand how he suffered - going through a lot of what He went through. So that is one good thing about pain/suffering: we can tell ourselves: Jesus experienced this. He understands. then we don’t have to feel so alone/lacking in empathy, etc.

In becoming more like someone, it obviously helps to go through much of what he/she has gone through.

Dearest, Nohamaria. I was not trying to belittle you. I was simply playing with davymax who had called me obtuse, tossing the “obtuse” back at him. It was not meant to demean you in any way, and I’m sorry if you thought that.

I like to keep these threads light-hearted, for we often wear our hearts on our sleeves. We’re all working for the same goal, and we shouldn’t bite each other’s heads off.

So, again. I wasn’t trying to make you seem obtuse. Instead, I was trying to pick with davymax. I assumed anyone following this thread would have picked up on that.

Mea Culpa!

God Bless!
