Why I love my RCIA class!

I couldn’t help but share that I am really loving the lessons I am learning in RCIA.
I am so grateful and lucky to have such wonderful teachers in the Deacon and other parishioners who assist with the lectures!

Though I am still learning, I have this wonderful feeling that I am on the right track with my life in faith - for the first time in a long time.

I just had to share!!
 
So awesome! Isn’t it the best feeling in the world to know you’re in the right place!! 🙂 I had the same experience last year and it hasn’t gone away, its only gotten better. So much to look forward to each and every day!

That is so awesome! What a blessing to have a great RCIA experience. Because of the snowpocalypse here in the South RCIA at our parish is cancelled tonight and my husband, who is a candidate, is crushed!

Second best he has plenty of reading to do, prayers he could say, do a Catholic Bible Quiz on line to see how much he knows, I find this can be great fun. See who knows more you or him. Being a Convert myself its just one big buzz, there is so much to learn and something new around every corner.

The Catholic Church is just a Wow.

Catholicism is Christianity at its fullest expression.

Catholicism is pre denominational, We are the originals.

Wonderful, you are learning what us cradle Catholics seem to take for granted. I have learned soooo much from the Converts here at Catholic Answers from their radio programs and also from Journey Home on EWTN. And I appreciate my Catholic Faith so much more for it. I also had a wonderful RCIA experience. It was just me and a young, faithful priest and was a great way to (re)enter Mother Church.

A great resource available with the catechism hyperlinked to scripture and magesterial documents along with saints writings is available at clerus. org. Download biblia clerus in your language. It is free, many people ask about the 3 day notification…Fr. Bouchez who wrote the program since 1992 on his site ictus. win states to just download it, and share it with others!!

Great to see the joy in you on your journey. Perhaps you can share with others in future RCIA classes your experience. I’ve assisted with the RCIA program for several years. What a joy it is to see others make that decision and to see them at their baptism and or confirmation.
 
It makes me really happy to hear that you are having a great RCIA experience. Be sure to thank your instructors. They put many hours into making sure you get good instructions.
 
I’m too am glad you are having a rewarding RCIA experience. It’s a wonderful feeling to be where you should be. I hope you don’t mind if I share my own experience.

I was cradle Catholic, but for reasons I won’t go into here I left the Catholic Church for many years, and was recently “called home”. I have never had the inner peace that I do now, and my non-Catholic Protestant husband (probably experiencing my changes, and wondering why I’m going through all that I am to “go home”) has decided to join my journey. He is in RCIA, and I go with him to almost all of the classes. I love going and learning about Catholicism alongside him through my adult eyes. There was always something missing and this was it! It’s great to be home!

My own experience was the same – awesomely awesome. There’s sooo much to learn and experience in the Church as you delve deeper into the sacred mysteries and the love that Christ has for us.

My little RCIA group (4 Candidates) are being taken by minibus to our local Cathedral on March 9th for the Rite of Election and Call to Continuing Conversion service. We are all going together, along with our sponsors and our priest.

I am looking forward to it very much. The Cathedral in Liverpool, England is modern, set out in-the-round and is very beautiful. Please pray for us all! 🙂

Praying for everyone who’ll be attending their Cathedrals this Sunday.

At Mass today, I was approached just beforehand and asked to assist in carrying the gifts to the priest. I was very pleased to have been asked but explained that I wasn’t yet a Catholic. The lady who asked me said she knew that and it was quite alright for me to do it. So I did! 🙂
