Islam is a plague. It is terror disguised as a “religion of peace”. If something is not done soon, Europe will be dominated by “peace-loving” Muslims.

You can make your point, and establish your position… perhaps without so “direct” a comment. Mods tend to cringe at such directness… causing them to twitch and hit the suspend button.Islam is a plague. It is terror disguised as a “religion of peace”. I agree with the need for distinction but your problem is that I have yet to see a meaningful number of Muslim elders standing up to condemn the hateful acts of your brethren. They are in the BEST position to make a difference in this regard but for unknown reasons choose not to. Where are these people? Why the deafening silence? This tells me there is effectively no real leadership in your religion. All are afraid to stand up to “some people” as you say.Muslims are forbidden from doing the things you’ve just mentioned. We are not allowed to go around destroying Churches, or to kill a Christian simply because they are Christian.
If a distinction can be made between the actions of some people and the actual religion…it would make things a lot easier to understand.
I could care less about the “Mods”. I refuse to play the PC game when it comes to Islam. You can make your point, and establish your position… perhaps without so “direct” a comment. Mods tend to cringe at such directness… causing them to twitch and hit the suspend button.
However, if you include factual links… then you might get the call from the ref in your favor.

PPatience - let me try to help you as Christ helps us. You are clearly offended by this event and rightfully so. In Catholicism, we believe Christ told his disciples that Christians would be persecuted, insulted and all manner of evil spoken against them on His account. He then went on to say when this happens, REJOICE AND BE GLAD, FOR GREAT WILL BE YOUR REWARD IN HEAVEN. So there is a message of “rise above” when these events occur. There is no element of bitterness or hatred and no call for revenge. Just the opposite, we should throw parties and celebrate. Not sure if there is something analogous in Islam but you would be best served to contemplate this message from Christ to deal with your pain. Forgive, forget, move on my friend. Otherwise, you are enslaving yourself and empowering your faceless captors.I wonder why the Danish newspaper jyllands posten had the desire to insult prophet Muhammad (pbuh)!!! The one who was put in the top of the list of the 100 Most influental Persons in Histroy. He came before Paul and Jesus!! Top One Hundred
**And why now? **Why they chose this timing to pour their hatred against Islam in their newspaper?!
**If they really knew HIM, **they would have never wrote an insulting word about this great prophet who liberated and guided mankind to the right path.
**We, Muslims, respect Jesus **and all other prophets. It is blasphemous to insult any prophet! If a Muslim dishonored a prophet, he will go to hell FOREVER!!
If we respect ur prophets, why dont u respect ours?!
If you said it is freedom of speech, well, but ur freedom ends at the lines of others! You dont want anyone to call your father names, or make fun of your mom, and then say, it is freedom of speech! Right?!
MrS - i have enjoyed your posts. I have heard about this killing instruction in the Koran but can you point me to it? If it is true, then ostensibly efforts at some level of reconciliation are essentially pointless. I have a tough time believing that a major religion has that type of instruction, but I have a bad feeling you are totally accurate. So, it is okay for me to be a Christian… but IF I profess that Jesus is God, that there is Only One Triune God - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and Muhammad is a false prophet… then Islam must(?) consider me an un-believer,… and the Koran instructs true, professing Muslims to “…kill all unbelievers, where ever you may find them…”
or have I got it wrong??
Whoah! Wait a minute! Any student of history would be able to contradict you. This is not funny even in the remotest sense of it! Explain to me, please how a Christian Egypt and Tunisia - all the north coast of Africa and Spain were a) conquered and b)forced to convert! This is history! Muslims did destroy churches and convert them into mosques! Haghia Sophia is now a mosque! Let’s have a little intellectual honesty here. Sheesh!Muslims are forbidden from doing the things you’ve just mentioned. We are not allowed to go around destroying Churches, or to kill a Christian simply because they are Christian.

Actually, what I have found most consistent is that:MrS - i have enjoyed your posts. I have heard about this killing instruction in the Koran but can you point me to it? I have a tough time believing that a major religion has that type of instruction, but I have a bad feeling you are totally accurate.
I was just making my pointCyber Knight
I cant hear you, i can only read what you write…maybe that is why your post seems to be an attack rather than a set of questions.
They see your actions not what you believeIn any case, the majority of the world does not believe that Mohamed is a prophet from God. Many many Americans dont even know what Islam is or what Muslims believe.
wont anger Muslims? isnt it supposed to be wont anger non muslims? All that doesnt mean anything and wont anger Muslims. It would serve to highlight that we have not done a good job transmitting the message.
I heard this words over and over again from muslims around me. I do fear of God. I also fear of dehumanization by the muslims toward non muslims. As to your last statement—I encourage you to fear God in the things that you say…and know that one day you will return to him and will be asked about every single word you’ve said and every single word your fingers have typed.
Fallen on blind eyes… who would that be? not non muslims of course. You keep denying terrorism is not islamic teaching YET we can see very clear the footnote image of PPatience the poster of original thread… a rocket! what is that supposed to mean? Why dont you put a heart image rather than rocket? is it rocket more important to you than a heart?? THINK ABOUT IT!!I know you dont care…and there is no point addressing your claims as they have been addressed on this forum over and over again…but have fallen on blind eyes.
Sorry, Jesus was not a prophet - but GOD HIMSELF come to Earth!I wonder why the Danish newspaper jyllands posten had the desire to insult prophet Muhammad (pbuh)!!! Peace MrSSo, it is okay for me to be a Christian… but IF I profess that Jesus is God, that there is Only One Triune God - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and Muhammad is a false prophet… then Islam must(?) consider me an un-believer,… and the Koran instructs true, professing Muslims to “…kill all unbelievers, where ever you may find them…”

They have and they still do…whether or not the media here emphazises it doesnt change that.QUOTE=srp643]I agree with the need for distinction but your problem is that I have yet to see a meaningful number of Muslim elders standing up to condemn the hateful acts of your brethren.
Because we believe Mary is a virgin, we have no problem saying that Jesus has no father. The rule that says that two persons must be involved for the conception of a baby…is a rule that God does not have to follow. You also mention Muslims believe in the virginity of Mary. This is a good start. But I’m curious, exactly who do you believe fathered Jesus if not the Holy Spirit?
Christians are forbidden from committing fornication.Whoah! Wait a minute! Any student of history would be able to contradict you. This is not funny even in the remotest sense of it! Explain to me, please how a Christian Egypt and Tunisia - all the north coast of Africa and Spain were a) conquered and b)forced to convert! This is history! If i wanted to learn about Christianity, i dont go to a Jew. Likewise, if you want to learn about Islam, why do you go to anti-Islamic sources (as manyyyyyyy posters on this forum do)?Surly you agree that there is a lot of solid, truthful information available on Islam from sources other than a Muslim??
Obviously Christianity has to deny those beliefs. But just because something is against what you grew up believing doesnt make it false. Islam is the fastest growing religion in this country, because people are rejecting what they gerw up with and accepting what they believe to be the truth.I commend you on your efforts to spread your beliefs… but again, Christianity MUST deny those beliefs as false (that is, against the very teachings of Jesus Christ Who is God, and Who is the Truth.
I personally like to emphasize the differences in the foundation of what we believe. To say that you talk about Mary, and the goodness of Jesus is like saying “But I use my turn signals… as I drive over the speed limit going the wrong way on the freeway at rush hour.”
It’s not just the media here my friend. The Muslim elders need to not only get smarter and more vocal about their positions but also confront these people directly and unceasingly. They are the ones who can make the biggest difference away from our prayers. They have and they still do…whether or not the media here emphazises it doesnt change that.
Because we believe Mary is a virgin, we have no problem saying that Jesus has no father. The rule that says that two persons must be involved for the conception of a baby…is a rule that God does not have to follow.
Who fathered Adam? Who was the mother of Eve? How do old and sterile parents have babies (as happened with some prophets). How can a virgin woman have a baby? Below i’ve pasted a verse from the Quran where Mary asks that question.
—She (Mary) said: “O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man has touched me.” He said: "So (it will be) for Allah creates what He wills. When He has decreed something, He says to it only: “Be!” and it is. (Quran 3:47)
The actions of individual Christians (and their sins) while they exist in history are not necessarily historic. The historic actions of an entire religion across the centuries are a matter of record. It is a matter of record that Islam swept out of Saudi Arabia and did everything that I described in my prior posts. If Muslims were forbidden from burning churches, why then were the churches burned and their members forced to convert at the point of a scimtar? Or is it that such practices are OK during a jihad?Christians are forbidden from committing fornication.
Thtas a true statement…but look at many cross-wearing Christians, and you will be like “WHOAH! Wait a minute!..”
I didnt say “Muslims dont do ________” I said Muslims are forbidden from doing ____________
