The fact that we choose hell does not resolve the situation.
Suppose that one man warned another that he would inflict cruel and unusual punishment upon him in response to a certain action. The second man makes the choice to do it anyway and recieves the punishment. This narrative in no way makes a case that the first man is good.
If we just take God’s word for it that he is good, does that not defeat the meaning of good in that context? Both God and man invest a lot in determining what it is good for man to do.
English words cannot describe God. The term ‘good’ can’t fully describe God but it is the best word we have for Him. So yes we can take His word for it because we have no human words to express His goodness completely and correctly
How do you suggest we go about “proving” God is good since you don’t accept His word for it?
Keep in mind people asked Jesus for sign after sign and He called them hypocrites for not believing what was already given to them. Also remember we shall not put God to the test. He has nothing to prove to us. So what exactly are you looking for in an answer so I know what you want?
